Had a quick look and it seems you won't have to be online to play the base game, but if you're not, you miss out on the live events.

I hate these type of games personally.

Sell an incomplete base game (apparently it's quite empty as open world games go) and then add online only filler pap.

Meh, I've got plenty of other stuff to play.
 
is it time limited? if so the best way to counter this is to do what most journalists always say. DONT buy at launch

not only will you save money, you will get a likely better game experience due to bug fixes and in this case possibly even more content.

given the 1st couple of months after launch is the really important time that they really care about the power really is with the consumer to fight against this.....

I am definitely getting Rage 2, i loved the 1st game but because only half games release these days i am definitely waiting till i know what dlc is coming out for it and wait till i can get it all in 1 go.
 
Gona wait until its all been released, then pick it up in one go, and when its on a sale.

Pretty sure ive never seen that on there before, when games have been up for pre-order.

None of the game devs can since they are forced quite literally to churn it out by publishers. Does seem odd though they have it for each month rather than split qtr like most do it.

Not a day one for me i am tired of buying overpriced games that don't deliver.
 
Games have always had expansion packs. I bought Core Contingency in 1998. Half Life had a load 20 years ago. If they're content separate from the main game and story what's the problem?
 
Rage 1 for me was a very poor experience the megatexture graphics were crap and over hyped,ID needed a kick up arse for that. Rage 2 looks better from the vid`s but game could become very boring after a while and you could regret buying on release. It is a wait and see type of game.
 
Hope it has a demo, about 90% of games these days are mediocre and not worth it. The most playability I've had for years is Cities Skylines and I don't need anything more than a budget rig to play that.

I thought rage was one of the technically most impressive games on the Xbox 360. Yes it was a bit generic but I enjoyed every minute of it
