Hey guys. Just got 2 x 120gb corsair F3s, and have been struggling for a few hours now to set them up. I don't know what I'm doing wrong :(

I've followed my MOBO manual to the letter:
First, I set the SATA Mode to RAID Mode.
Secondly, I rebooted and pressed CTRL + i or L (l isn't very informative to me in the manual, it could be either, so I tried both). This is to get into the "intel rapid storage technology option ROM utility", apparently, to set up RAID. Nothing happens, it just tries to boot up to one of the SSDs.

I've unplugged all my other drives. Both drives are being picked up as they are both listed under the boot device options. I've also reset all my settings in the BIOS just in case something was messing it up.
My SATA cables are both plugged into the two, white, 6G slots on the MOBO. I also tried using other slots too.

I've been on many forums and watched many videos to see if they help, but they all get the option to enter the RAID setup utility, I do not. I never see it on the screen.
My MOBO is the asus sabertooth z77, with the i7 3770k. If you guys need any more info please don't hesitate to ask.

Any ideas at all guys? I knew this would be a pain in the... neck... to set up!

You should see a screen similar to this somewhere in your boot sequence:

Which is where you can enter the option rom for raid setup.

Could be your screen is too slow to resync and show the raid bios during boot, are you sure the intel controller is definitely set to raid mode as my mobo has 2 different controllers (not meaning to sound patronising!)

Yeah, that screen is exactly what I'm looking for mate. I also think my monitor is too slow for it (even though it's pretty much the best one you can get atm). Sometimes when I keep spamming CTRL + I, I see a flash of something, and I think one part says press any key to continue, which is why it disappears again cos I keep spamming. I will try now with my other monitor, maybe it could resync faster.

As for the controller, yeah, I think there's a marvell (I think?) and an intel controller - but there is absolutely no option for that on the mobo, I've been through everything there is to go through in the BIOS, and there's only that one option that I changed that has anything to do with RAID.

You were right about the monitor! Here's the results:

You've got your SATA cables plugged into the wrong ports, they need to be plugged into the Intel 2 x SATA 6Gb/s ports which are a brown colour.

You have them plugged into the AS Media grey ports.

Well I seemed to remember seeing Asmedia somewhere in the BIOS, and disabled both the front and rear controllers (like you suggested mate!!). Enabled Intel PXE OPROM, and have now made some progress. It now attempts to boot; there is a CTRL + S option, but this doesn't really give many options at all. When it tried to boot:
Initiliazing and establishing link...

WORKING.

Thanks a lot guys! Couldn't see it cos my damn massive graphics card was in the way. Sorry for being a noob guys, but you've made a noob very happy tonight!! Cheers!!
