RAM options for Ryzen 3rd gen on X370

After some research these Micron E-Die look to be amazing value (both the 3000 and 3200 kits) they look to be capable 90% of what Samsung b-die can at about half the cost.

The kits listed as good online are :

BLE8G4D36BEEAK (3600Mhz)
BLS8G4D32AESBK (3200Mhz)
BLS8G4D32AESBK (3000Mhz)

The 3000Mhz and 3200Mhz are very good value in 16gb (2x8gb) kits and people seem to be hitting 3400mhz regularly with them. And that's on 1st Gen ryzen with the picky memory controller

Thanks, I just realised that I misread the thread title where it mentions X370 motherboards.

Any of the Crucial kits that end AES are guaranteed Micron-E, great memory plug and play compatability with early Ryzen's. Running 16GB 3200 C16 on a 1500X + B350, just enabled XMP and done.

Got the 3200Mhz kit with micron chips, XMP loaded fine and with 1.36v DRAM voltages it can hit 3533MHZ at the same XMP timings (see below)

3600 wasn't stable at these settings (memtest errors) but with some work I'm guessing it could work OK

See results below

Not quite B-Die timings (and probably won't be able to get quite that fast) but for 1/2 the cost these are fantastic kits for Ryzen

Worth pointing out that I have never gotten eve 3200mhz running with the Hynix AFR kits .

Got my BLS2K8G4D30AESBK 16 GB Kit. Running DOCP 3000 (Asus B350-f & Ryzen 1600 stock) & set ram speed to 3200mhz. These are the timings it set for me. How are things looking?

Ive just noticed that
BLS2K16G4D32AESB 2x16GB kit is on offer just now. Would this be a better kit to get over the Corsair 3600 C18 that had a pricing error?

i've recently bought that for £146. afaik, the resellers are now selling at £190.
the £140 has a 1-2 month lead time apparently...

And your right about ram prices, they are increasing from Ram producers , 5-7% this week . Expect to rise a little higher . After doing stock for the old man in AMD, looking at ram producers now

I've just ordered the same kit for £142 delivered and it said it would be delivered by the 29th of July.
I read a comment from someone on HUKD that they managed to overclock it to 3600 CL16. I think I'll return the Corsair stuff.

ah very nice! enjoy!

e-die ram also clocks very well. granted not as well as b-die, but it's also less than half the cost of overpriced b-die currently.
and also e-die did hold the ram oc record (albeit briefly)

all links in prior posts in the thread.

certainly where the smart money is, for ram.

@Plec better get your grubby mitts on em before the price rise!

straight from the horse's mouth:

Absolutely. Thanks very much!! Tempted to order a CPU and motherboard now to be honest but was going to hold off until later in the year once the BIOS updates and little niggles had been ironed out.

that's exactly what i'm doing too.

my ram is here. and my mp510 960gb is on the way, though a bit gutted about the prices creeping up, making it about £20 dearer than if i had gotten it a couple months ago :(
(gotta put my money where my mouth is, after recommending the mp510 to everyone and their grandma lol)

I believe I was one of those people you recommended it too :D.
My MP510 is currently sitting gathering dust. I think I got the 960Gb for £118 and also a 2TB MX500 for £180ish.
Now I've got my RAM its time to make a decision on CPU and Mobo. Must resist.
