No its not to celebrate the birth of Jesus or another other profit its the month where the Quran was revealed, Muslims fast and abstain from immoral acts, reading the Quran and trying to better yourself and charity is encouraged.

I live in a little town up near the NW border with Iraq. As for living here, well its different for sure
There's definitely some very distinct positives and negatives out here, the respect for elder family members (no OAP's left living alone), no worry about drunken idiots in town, the cost of living being cheap and the mountainous desert itself are just a few of the positives but the negatives are just as obvious with a reduced amount of personal freedom, a very stark "caste" system regarding the use of foreign labour from Bangladesh, Pakistan etc and a very different work culture etc but once you get your head around the small things I found that its a decent place to spend a few years in*, although I wouldn't want to live out here permanently.
However, thats just in my little corner of KSA, where a handful of us ex-pats work directly alongside around 600 Saudis and live in a town with a population of only around 50000, so I'm guessing if you lived in the big 1000+ people 'ex-pat only' secure compounds in Riyadh or Dhahran etc run by the big US/UK companies, it might be a bit different as I would have thought that there is much less opportunity to 'mix' with the locals and I'm certain you'd not be allowed to live alongside them like we do up here due to security issues.
* - I've lived/worked for at least 6-12 months in places like Kenya, USA, Germany, Oman, Iraq and a few others for comparison.
It is difficult when working, bank holiday today so no work so not too bad.

I'm over in Al Qatif for work and stay in Khobar which is great for nipping over the causeway to Bahrain.
I'd presume Mohammed is considered to be the "best" muslim?

I've no disrespect to any religion, but my company have put a piece on the employee intranet wishing our Muslim employees Ramadan Mubarak and explaining what it is what it means etc etc. Yet I can't remember reading such a piece on the intranet at Easter explaining what is and and what it means. Just sell moar Easter eggs and lamb roasts...

Muslim isn't a faith, that would be Islam, and just as many people dislike it as those who dislike Christianity, Hinduism, Buddism and any other religion you can think of, yes even the religion of Jedi can probably be found to have a few haters.

Ramadan Mubarak guys. 1st fast hasnt been too bad, usual headaches, but thats down to having a toddler that hasnt slept for a week 
They will be a bit shorter overall though, i think even the uber long ones from the last few years, werent that bad once you got into the swing of things, even in the heat of last year.

Wouldnt you say that most people living in this country would be aware of Easter already though? My kids are at Nursery/reception and even they are taught about easter.
If its something you feel strongly about, you should raise it with your company.
Gotta signal their diversity bro, anything to do with Feminism or Islam is big right now.
