Ramadan Mubarakh..!

Congratulates for you both enjoy the reset of Ramadan i must agree it has flown past this year.

I think that's what everyone says as they age. If you were an 18 year old with limited life experience you won't be saying that. But I'm 30 now and have so much stuff going on with my life that I'm just so busy so year it has gone by. It's almost like I remember anticipating ramadhan and how "tough" it's going to be just days ago.

Off topic here but a an explainable theory to this is its all relative. If you are 5 years old, one day of your life is a relatively large portion of your life compared to when you are 55. This means your brain considers it to be a long time and when you was a kid, a day at school was a long time, the summer holidays were am eternity. When you're older the days seem to fly by and your kids summer holidays just don't feeling enough. We know they're the same length of time, but your brain interprets them relative to as much time as we've experienced in life.

Intresting where did you read about this? I would like to read about it, i was talking to my friend the other day about how are parents seem to do very little with thier time the older they get and still are happy with thier day.

Half of Manchester will be doing Eid Friday and half Saturday. I received a message almost 2 weeks ago confirming Saudi will declare Eid on Friday going by the calendar they follow, and hey presto... They've got the next 10 years of Eid dates confirmed already as they don't go by moon sighting at all. I'll be fasting for another day then.

Eid Mubarak to those celebrating Friday.

The repeated calls for strikes on the west during Ramadan and eid by Islamic groups having been carried out?

So called Islamic groups I think your lost, head over to the ISIS/Daesh thread here

This thread is regarding talk for Ramadan.

Clear skys, go see if there's a new moon, if there is then don't fast and celebrate Eid. This is not about Saud or Pakistan. Also vote to ban Tefal for being a teapot

Why am i still awake?! and why am i hungry lol so used to eating later not sure if to eat to just wait until i wake up.....

This might sound like a really stupid question, but I'm curious. It says that during Ramadan you are not allowed to drink or eat food so the fasting part I understand. I couldn't do it personally but well done to those able !

It also says that you are not allowed to "engage in sexual relations with one's spouse"... So does that mean if you are a single Muslim you can engage with sexual relations with someone ? (although that would fall under sinful behaviour I guess). Does that not allowing to engage in sexual relations mean that after when you stop your fast to eat in the evening, you can then have the sexy time ? or do you have to go through the whole of Ramadan without sex ? How does that rule work for jerking the chicken ?

Yea yea stupid question. But I'm generally curious, some of the practicing Muslims who I know always seem a bit grumpy during Ramadan and I wonder if it has to do with the lack of sex tbh ! lol
