just ordered a rampage extreme, 3820(sidegrade for now, gonna see what ib-e brings) and 16gb Ripjaws Z 2133MHz cas9
after i have got it up and running and had a play will no doubt be seeking your words of wisdom ;)

You cant really go wrong with this board!!! Its the best X79 I have tried I can confidently say 135.2BLK and 5683mhz Vantage GPU.

I am getting an MSI Big Bang so will report on that too. But it has to go some!!! to beat this.

I took another Vantage world record yesterday for single GPU overtaking Kingpin again on this very board.

MSI GTX 680 Lightening @ 2000mhz goodness!!! 5683CPU DDR2500 C8!!!

Those GSKILL are a great choice by the way!!!

I have just been trying out the new 3dmark firestrike bench on both my X79 systems. Both have RIVE mobos but one setup has HD7970s and the other GTX 690s. One card works fine in either system and gives good numbers but when using 2 cards there is no scaling or even worse negative scaling. TB also found this with his 3 HD 7970s, I think this new bench has got a bug in it for X79 and multi cards.

As I said above I have tried it with nvidia and AMD cards so it is not drivers that are at fault.

The 8 and 4 pin cpu power, do they both have to be plugged in??
Oh and what bios to use? Got latest already on a stick.

Yes plug em all in. Load is then shared across the VRMs. I use 1101 or 1005 not liking the later Bios at all.

Disable the chipset fan dont bother water cooling.

Not tried the new bench with multi-cards yet or even Nvidia cards. I am doing the MSI competition on HWBot at the mo so Z77 MSI boards is the limitation in the rules.

AMD have just released a new beta driver for multi GPUs but nvidia are still bust.

Test man!!! Each chip is different.

PLL 1.65, BLK around 129, memory on 2000 strap that your using. CPU BLK ofset -2 PCI EX Offset -20. Full clock gen reset enabled, Clock gen filter 10uf. Rampage Mode 1 to start with on mems. VCCSA 1.10, VTT 1.10.

Should be a decent start!!!

right ok thx,
managed to do the new 3dmark at just over 5.1GHz was pushing for 5.2 but it corrupted windows 8 and it restored it for me, and lost all drivers, progs etc (only installed it yesterday) i must remember once i'm running properly again to create a restore point!!

Hitting a wall at 5084MHz even if i pile the vcore on, nothing. Gets to debug code 40, on windows 8 and for me dosn't bsod just corrupts OS so got no help there. :(
Will get some bios screens.
I'm after a benching profile/suicide run!
The above speed is on 1.5v @59c
39 x 130.35
Ram is around the 2100 mark(not on pc at mo)
