Random Fact!

This is one example of posting a "random fact" on Overclockers.

People can, and will kill your random fact.

Random fact: some people struggle to read properly, struggle to correctly interpret the information provided, and hope to dupe people into believing their point by spouting endless irrelevancies from Statistics Chapter 1.
Was my post unclear? I don't see why you haven't dropped this.

Random fact: Stephen Hawking wanted to be a mathematician, but his dad made him take a natural sciences degree.

OK there needs to be a rule in this one as well - No posting random crap about stair cases and probabilities!!!!! Every post should have a random fact.
Random fact of this post: your post did not have a random fact.

Or: A jiffy is an actual measurement of time (varying field to field).

The Blackburn Turcock was a British single-seat single-engine biplane fighter built in 1927. Designed to be produced in several variants, only one was completed.

Random Facts please!

##Spiral Staircases in the UK always spiral upwards to the right (clockwise).

Originates from the days of defending castles from an attack. Attackers would be forced to use their left hand for their sword when ascending the stairs, whilst defenders would have full use of their right hand to swing downwards with.

Possibly true with all countries, however i'm not qualified to suggest it as a fact.

Is this fact for castles or something, I went up an anticlockwise one just the other week. I know because its the first non-castle one I've every been up. :)

**edit for random fact**

203 million dollars is spent on barbed wire each year in the U.S.

Clockwise. Upwards to the right, as stated in post 1.

Did these stairs at the weekend and almost died, im so unfit

OT : If you put a pot of blood in a maze and release a leach, it will eventually find the blood. Liquidize that leach and feed it to other leaches, they can find the blood in the same maze almost instantly, due to chemical memory

Just read the whole post since I posted my last comment quickly...

Howler monkeys are the noisiest land animals. Their calls can be heard over 2 miles away.

Is this by Human, or by other Howler Monkeys?

China has more English speakers than the United States.

Any source on this? :-o

Fact: I only just realized both posts I'm quoting are by Fishfingers :p

IRN BRU does not contain any iron and the name had to be changed because of this,

"It was 'Iron Brew' until trading standards got on their case because it is not brewed and does not contain iron. Its now IRN BRU"
