Random Student Loan Purchases Thread.

Wow, not bad. Almost all my student loan (along with my savings of about £2,000) has gone on living... In all fairness, I do have a pretty decent standard of living, I can go out a lot, or go out for dinner if I want to, and it's nice. But I can't decide to take a small holiday, or build a new computer, or anything.

Maybe it's because the cost of living is higher in the south of France. :D

I had to shell out £20 for this little gear, grr!

It's for my final project, and I lost the one I had before which the uni paid half the price for...I couldn't deal with telling my supervisor though, so I just bought one.

I have loads of money for this term as i start my industrial experience placement straight after exams, so i have a spare £750 or so, will be spent on moving costs down to london/possibly a bike if i dont get bike2work scheme

Putting it all into an ISA is fair enough (even if none of the people I know who started out doing that actually finished uni still doing so :p) but just spending it on toys seems frivolous IMO.

For many students it is the only/cheapest way they can afford toys - if they are going to splash out, better to use Student Loan rather than credit cards etc. Most of mine went on living expenses and into an ISA though. Be interesting to see how much is left on it when the statement comes as I graduated 11 years ago

This.

Veiled troll attempt!

Hardly :) as I said it was not just for purchases from this round of loan, it was for whatever random stuff you've purchased using any student loan :)
