Range Rover Evoque

I think branding it as a Range Rover was the correct thing to do: As a Land Rover it would have been terrible, but as an Range Rover it is a natural evolution of that brand

You sound a bit jealous there mate, it has to be said. I dont really understand that mentality, anyone that has got 40k to buy a run about a fool does not make.

The money for these cars needs getting before spending.

i highly doubt theyve got £40k or had £40k, just £40k of repayments

Well they had 5 or 10 for a deposit and the ability to repay the rest for what is probably a 2nd or 3rd car.

I cant see how that makes them "innits" thats without all the ones that do pay cash, whats that make them?

Anyway im just saying my definition of mini celebrity wanna bee innits is not people with 40k 3rd cars.

the garishness is what makes them "innits", the silly tints, old women with far too much fake tan.

the garishness and overt overtness doesnt make them classy, thats for sure

Come on then i will bite, whats the classy car for a 38 year old houswife that dosent wear fake tan?

I only ask because my wife and i think every single one of her mates has got a 4x4, none of them wear false tan and none of them are wanna be innits, they are just women with a few quid.

That generalisation is right up there with all black fellas in BMW's are drug dealers.

What car do you drive out of interest? How old are you?

As someone very interested in the potential of this car im pleased to see it appears to be the people in the position to buy one that actually like it.

Afterall getting even 2nd hand buyers interested is not what JLR need.

It looks superb in the flesh and the 'bling' is just the retention of concept features, admission of those would have resulted in just as much slating yet a less desirable products to tempt people with.

whats your inside leg measurement? what do any of your questions have to do with this topic? if youre trying to get at "im considerably richer than you so your opinion isnt valid" then just look at the monstrosities these footballers are pictured driving. they too have loads of money but a massive lack of taste. no ones perfect.

if classy is the criteria and a nasty looking freelander is the car bought then, imo, thats very wide of the mark.

its possible that your wife and her friends dont match my generalisation due to our whereabouts in the country, but your generalisation about drug dealers is definately because you dont like black people :D

if garish is your thing though, go right ahead, but i think when these people are seen driving like absolute tools in their garish cars the generalisation must stick more because of how visible the cars are (the poor driving part is FACT and non-negotiable)

My questions have nothing to do with anything, also i dont give a toss how much or little money you have, i was just wondering what your definition of classy was as you are such an expert, and what car you drove to accentuate that class.

That came out harsher than intended, it just makes me laugh some of the things you read, it dosent matter what you buy theres going to be a footballer with it, and all the stupid 4x4's yea i know they are never used for purpose, but not everyone that buys one is a dim blonde soccer mom. Anyway that wasnt meant as a dig.

Really like the look of this car, adds a classy element to this sector, a mini Range Rover which can't be a bad thing!

Can see this doing really well in the US where this segment seems to be booming at the moment.

OK first of all: Jonny did you used to play Quake 2 online? (yeah random I know)

Secondly I don't like it but im biased, from the look of it it appears to be another 4x4 that doesn't work off road, which basically means its a glorified family estate with crappy mpg and headlights on eye level with coupe drivers, looks pretty tho...

i own a couple of old golfs, clearly im not interested in class, but even to a complete class-layman like me, i can tell nasty looking 4x4s are not classy.

Ok then, well given 40k today that needed to be spent what would you buy? Just pure curiosity :)

Sorry what?

Offering CO2 emissions sub 130g/km* and fuel economy of 58mpg* combined

What do you class as good mpg? And have you tried to drive it off road?

MX-5, EOS, new TT roadster, A5 cab, E89, E93, E64, 987, SLK, CLK convertible, SL, XK convertible, V8 Volante, R8 Spyder, GTC, California... :D

They do seem to have answers to your criticisms, although not in a single model:

The 2wd model with do the mpgzzz when combined with the recently refreshed 2.2 TD4 engine.

The 4x4, being and Freelander, should work off road (I've got an F2 that's used for towing another Land Rover about on muddy fields and the like and it does the job beautifully)

The possible hybrid option, if done properly, would give you the best of both worlds: 2wd in normal running with an electric powered rear axle for acceleration, low speed running in town and instant and constant torque off road

Strange, the picture doesn't have that information, The OP asked for our personal impressions based on a picture of the car. From the picture I could tell the car has a visibly bulkier front end than the older ones which means it wont be able to drive down inclines as severe. And if thieve sacrificed ability for looks in that area I can only assume (from the pic ofc) thieve done so in other areas.

Sorry if my lack of telepathy offends :(
