What's the latest ?, plenty of rumours around but anything solid and trustworthy ?
What's going to supercede the 13900ks ?

Given the correct setup, you can hit 6Ghz all-core on the 13900K/KS.It's looking likely to be something akin to devil's canyon.
I've got a feeling all core may jump to 5.8ghz from the 5.6ghz on the 13900ks.

As an example, my 13900K which is a lower bin than my KS can hit 6GHz on all cores playing BF2042.
Would be nice if they introduce DLVR back and get it to operate at lower voltages / less power draw than what we have now and maybe get a 6Ghz all core out the box with room for more is something i would be interested in and would swap out the 13900k for . The 13900K can be squeezed to perform but requires some pretty decent cooling like direct dieIn my opinion, as it's using the exact Cove and Mont design we won't see any noticeable performance uplift. If they bring a performance increase, it will be from a binning process, so uplifts in clock speeds, etc., or maybe a reconfiguration of the P/E cores.
The IPC / Performance increases will come in the form of Meteor / Arrow Lake.

I know, I was talking about stock figures though.
KS runs at 5.6ghz over the k’s 5.5ghz.
A refresh will likely improve on those and I’d assume 5.8ghz is likely.
With regards to gaming high all cores is fairly easy. Running anything more demanding would need really exotic cooling though. Say cinebench, 6ghz all core would be pulling close to 400 watts!
With regards to the refresh, I’d hope for lower vids. My KS has a vid of 1.4v for 6ghz. Would be good to have vids of about 1.3v. Unlikely but you never know….
Yeah I've not long had mine and just finding my feet with it but yeah have noticed at stock would happily suck down 130w(1.41v) + in mw2 and would sit in the 60's ( 5.5Ghz ) which i wasn't to pleased with .. at the min running it stock still with a undervolt ( ac/dc ll ) which has dropped power down to 85w(1.29v) in mw2 give or take and temps now in high 40 low 50 which is much more acceptable but wasn't like this out the box obviously. The Asus MB and its Auto rules like to pump that voltage I have oc it to 57/45 and for me the power usage vs performance difference just wasn't worth it which is why i opted to UV for now as plenty of performance on tap for what i need. i will play with it more once the DD kit actually turns upIt all depends on what you want really, as you can set it up in a number of different profiles.
As I was messing around the other day using BF2042 as a use case running the game at 1440P with a 4090 I had the CPU clocked at 2Ghz / 4.5Ghz / 6Ghz and in terms of the frame rate, there wasn't a huge amount in it 250 - 350 fps+. However, in terms of power usage from the CPU it was interesting, 2GHz was using around ~25W's / 4.5GHz was using around ~125W's / 6GHz was using around ~300W
While consuming a megawatt. I mean come on, I had the 13900k, there is no scenario where you ever overclock that thing for games. It draws too much power even stock, even undervolted, for gaming. Oced to 5.8ghz it was hitting 240 watts running cyberpunk, LOLGiven the correct setup, you can hit 6Ghz all-core on the 13900K/KS.

Undervolted with a power limit at 150 pl1/2 in games, the power consumption is great I find. While consuming a megawatt. Combined with the faster ram I was using on the 13900k, it was 10- 15 faster than a fully overclocked 12900k (5.4 ghz all cores). Stock vs stock the difference was up to 20,some times maybe a bit moreCurious, only from a gaming perspective. In your experience of owning one how much advantage did you see it offer over what you had previously..? Trying to gauge its usefulness beyond its power consumption that it had over the AL 12900k.
Thanks.
That is kind of my point? I wasn't being literal obviously...
