Raptor Lake refresh for sure ?

Why do you lie? I know I shouldn't respond to trolls, though posting for others to know how wrong you are.

My 13900k (with Strix 4090 @ 70/% PL 350W)

Another user's 13900k in similar area

145-175w is the consistent power draw of a 13900k with 4090 in Cyberpunk, with 4K RT enabled, all ultra. Spikes to 220W do happen, though are not consistent.

My 7950X3D draws 60-70W in the same game.
Ι was talking about the 12900k,, and you said it draws up to 220 watts.. Maybe go back and reread what you replied to before calling me a liar? And yes the 13900k draws a lot, but not 220 unless you overclock it. It should peak around 180watts in cyberpunk

I guess I should take your advice about replying to trolls.. Ill stop

My bad, read as 13900k. Sorry dude.

12900k has accordingly lower performance though- 13900k and 7950X3D are much faster, when powering a 4090.
At 1080p sure, I had both and benchmarked them. The 13900k is around 15% faster when dropping resolution a lot to cause a cpu bottleneck. There is not any realistic scenario that either of them are faster though, that's why I kept my 12900k with the much lower power draw in games.

What other games do you have that isnt CB to comapre ? in games like COD and RE4 or SOTR my 13900k is just using 65-80w

4k with ultra RT also makes for a CPU bottleneck, where the 13900k/7950X3D shine above the rest.

No way, 4k with ultra RT + DLSS Q they are all tied,, 12700k / 12900k / 13900k / 7950x3d. Heck even the 12600k gets the same fps. I mean we can try it, upload your 4k ultra +RT run with your 13900 / 7950x3d and we can compare.

In every game I tested the 13900k consumed between 65 and 80% more watts than my 12900k. And I tested a lot since I had them both for 3 months. There is no way 13900k uses 65 to 80w on cod unless you are talking about 4k fully gpu bound scenarios. If you push for 300+ fps it draws around 130 to 150 watts in warzone 2.

ASRock announces Z790 Phantom Gaming NOVA motherboard for ‘more power hungry future CPUs’

Vendors launching refreshed Z790 boards, with even higher power capabilities, gives credence to the Raptor Lake refresh actually being a thing.

Terrible move from Intel IMO - 13900KS power consumption is already monstrously high. How much further are they prepared to crank it?
