Made a chassis for the Tamiya Lunchbox, UKMonsters Pro Carbon Chassis Kit.

So you are UK Monsters!?

In that case, I’ll buy two!

Oh yeh, sorry I didnt really make that clear. Yes I am UKMonsters :)

I put some features into the chassis that the original doesnt have and even that alloy aftermarket one doesnt have.

You can fit conventional oil shocks, the top mounts are standard.
Multiple mounting holes for the shocks to adjust the ride height.
Adjustable body mounts to have the body lower if required.
The steering servo can be mounted in the standard orientation of central, equal length steering links are included.
Battery tray will accept a hard case 2s lipo.

Tarmac.

I’m not sure what class. TT02 looks easy to get into, but they also do a Mini class. Which I used to race as a kid but no one had mini shells :(
Is the TT02 class they run limited in modifications/upgrades? If it is it's a great class and easy and cheap to get into and learn the ropes on.

Some clubs run a TT02 class where you can change everything apart from the chassis tub, this tends to be a terrible class as you end up with £500+ TT02's which still don't go as well as other cars of similar cost.

For minis you can't really go wrong with the Tamiya M07 - fantastic car out of the box.

Eastbourne are running Kamtec/Mardave minis indoors on Saturday nights now - so if you don't want to freeze to death or get rained on then that's worth a look.

It might also be worth checking out 1066 racing in Hastings, personally I think off road is more enjoyable, and the 1066 outdoor track in Bexhill is epic (and astro so no mud).

I used to race off road but Hastings is still like 40 minutes on a good day, and we usually do things on the weekend so an evening is preferred.

I much preferred racing off road but hey ho!

I’ll take a look the rules for the TT02. The new MB01 looks wicked.

Unfortunately the MB01 is a sloppy mess of a car - but yeah that body set is awesome!

Well that makes me a little sad. The Mk2 Golf is coming out on that platform.
They'll be loads of places selling the body sets separately I'm sure, plenty of kit breakers out there and Tony's Tamiya Parts should already have the golf shell available (as is was used on the MF01X chassis by Tamiya on a release last year).

Loads of decent alternatives around as well. For a track like Eastbourne outdoors you'll probably find a longer wheelbase beneficial as well (210mm, 225mm, and 239mm are the common ones). I think Eastbourne have a list of legal bodies in their rules online as well though I'm not sure if it's enforced any more

It's MKGP this weekend! I didn't enter this year but last year was a blast.

3 days of racing - probably the biggest event in Europe for 2025.

DDRC are providing full coverage on YouToob:

Wanted something a bit bigger and faster than the MT10 so got myself a Kraton 6S EXB V2, handed the MT10 down to my son and his HBX 16889A past down to his little sister.

Im so tempted to get back into this hobby, the 6S Kraton was one of my favorites, that and the Outcast.

I loved racing them but was terrible at doing repairs/fault finding so sold them :(

I actually really enjoy messing with them, the MT10 had a fair few upgrades before I even ran it and a few minor things done to the Kraton.
