RC cars

1066 Racing indoors is awesome - one of the best tracks to race on in the UK and a great crowd.

There's racing this Sunday evening if any of you are local and want a looksie.

The outdoor track is full astro and even bigger, but only open in the summertime

Im off-roading on Sunday, is it in the evening? If so I’ll pop by. I guess they’ll have timing on their website. I’ll take a look.

Good to see the 1066 track in action, different cars different racing! I'd love to live a little closer to that track, so good to see another busy club too.

Eastbourne for comparison, this is a final frontie race from the summer :)

its about an hour drive for me to get to 1066, but only about 30mins to get to EECC (depending on how kind the A27 wants to be) very lucky to have some amazing clubs relatively near by, just need to get off my arse and go to them!

Do any of you guys have some favourite channels you recommend for this subject?

The only one I know is;

I got a Losi Micro B for xmas. The first RC car I've had since i was a kid ( Tamiya hornet ).

This little thing is fast !
Thats another little sideline I want to get into, theres a club racing them locally but you can't get hold of the cars at the moment, I have a back order placed...

I also had Hornet when I was a doing it first time round, I think I did grasshopper, Hornet and then Hotshot.

The clubs I used to go to have disappeared these days.

But the Bury club seems to be expanding across those areas (Oldham and Rochdale).

This is an outdoor race. I'm not sure if this is at their new venue or not.

Yeah I was quite surprised when it first showed up, it doesn’t seem that big anymore. Loads of fun and can’t wait for it to warm up.
I’ve been looking for a basher for a while, do you rate it so far?

I don’t want to kill my Giga Crusher and my Tamiya’s don’t hold up to 6ft skatepark jumps too well.

Yeah so far so good, all I’ve done is change the centre and rear diff housings to aluminium but there was nothing with the plastic ones. It’s the EXB one so has most of the upgraded parts already on it. I don’t go crazy like Kevin Talbot or anything. If you want something you can really abuse I would maybe go with the MT10, again I didn’t abuse it too hard but no issues with that once you upgrade to RPM arms. It’s also lighter so less likely to damage parts and parts are a little cheaper.
