I got a deltaplastic 2mm subaru shell. You will need to buy a front and rear shell mount kit, about £6.

On a nice loose surface and set up with the right diff oils it's really fun. Was going to convert into the Stratos but the shells are like hen's teeth and super expensive

I recently ordered a HPi savage XS Flux to have a play with with my Son. Watching some videos tbh I might send it back as it looks a bit too extreme the thing literally tries to take off.....
Any recommendations for something fun but fairly easily controllable....? Electric and RTR is my only real criteria tbh...

This what I did to mine:
-If its not got them already add the side skirts to the body to absorb impacts from Kyosho MP9 (KYOIF474)
-cover the inside of the body shell in scrim tape and shoe goo (or alternative) to make it super strong yet still flexi
-Proline Dirt Hawgs 2.2" tires
-cut down lipo tray to fit bigger 3S lipos easier
-added lipo straps instead of silly clamp thingy
-replaced naff chassis screws with stainless steel ones
-added the 2 extra satellite gears to front and rear diffs
-changed diff oils to 10-10-5
-changed shock oil to 45wt
-made custom chassis guard out of 3mm Lexan (sprayed with Tamiya PC4)
-added UBEC
-changed stock servo to a faster, stronger Turnigy TGY-4409MG
-bought 2 x 3S 4000mah 35-70C Turnigy Nanotech lipo's (hobbyking)
-made an 'Outerwears' shroud out of some breathable waterproof nylon (just waiting for mum to sew Velcro on)

got a delivery earlier, another reciever for my dx5c and a nice charger to replace my ancient etronix powerpals plus a new 4s battery
should get mini paintball or BB guns or something on these things...
FPV RC Tank battle could be quite amusing.
