RD: GRID is certainly a grower!

Good game!

perfect for a laugh, the damage is quality, and the online is great, apart from the cheaters!

its happened quite a few times now, people lagging all over the shop, and going though everything, then just winning when ever they want. so stupid, guy did it after 20 seconds on a 4 lap race!

Have been reporting everyone I've seen doing it, and it always seem to be french or germans!!

not really, certainly not to acually own and keep for LIVE

You changed you criteria then?

CoD4
Halo 3
PGR3
PGR4
Forza2
GoW
GTA4
Orange Box
Guitar Hero
GRAW
Rainbow 6
Burnout Revenge
Burnout Paradise

That's just the great Live games I've played.

Its going to take a lot to used to this game. Car control is terrible atm. Tones of oversteer and no grip with the rear tyre's.

I found that, but you can tweak the steering in the options mid race. It didn't make it perfect, but it made the steering a hell of a lot more controllable. It's almost a case of tweaking it at the beginning of each race, then restarting the race when it has been set correctly.

I'm a seasoned race "simmer", GP Legends veteran, r factor, GTR, Gran Turismo series, PGR and Forza all played to death and quite frankly GRID is in excusable.

How the heck can you include Gran Turismo in the list of SIMS?

Ive too have played and raced online all the games you mention and quite a few more, when i first started with Grid i hated it with a passion, but, i gave it a 2nd chance and once i clicked with the handling ive grown to really enjoy the game...

Its not a sim, in any way shape or form, but neither are GT or PGR... they are Arcade racers, Grid is quite a good one tbh... for fun factor id rate it above GT and PGR, im yet to play online as im working on finishing Single player first, but with the inclusion of a dedicated Destruction Derby mode im hoping for great fun with OcUKers, as well as some good clean close racing in the other disciplines.

As for the BMW Touring cars, i actually quite enjoy them, the only aspect ive really found a dislike for is the drifting, but, thats only because im not any good at it. Playing on Savage with all assists off, manual gear, G25 and using bumper cam.

Got it on Monday, its a good game with lots of scope, I just wish you were able to mix and match the different tracks and cars online, I believe there is even a track on multiplayer where codemasters have restricted it so you can only race one type of car on it, and its an awsome track as well, its just lost potential and replayability.

On the subject of replays, its annoying that you cant save them and send them to friends.

Also wouldnt mind some more destruction derby tracks like a bowl or something because that is really too much fun online.

Its not a sim thats for sure, but its fast, its fun, theres a lot of different cars to play and you can have a blast online.

I am enjoying the game but i think there is a glitch because i was going to get the short haul achievement but ended up getting that and the long haul one at the same time :o .

Looking to buy this game but can’t see anything mentioned about split screen modes, is there any?

Gran Turismo a sim? lol

GT was great on the PSX but the series hasn't evolved at all and it's totally overated, it's not a sim and it's not arcade ...it is boring however.

Grid is just fun and furious.

GT is not overated at all. I dont know where you got that from. It is a great racing sim.

It is overated, they have made it very very pretty, but not taken the driving model forward at all. Its a fun racing game it is not a racing sim.

Since when has PGR been a Sim? And Gran Turismo? And Forza for that matter...all are arcade racers (forza less so).

GRID is FUN, FAST & FURIOUS and that's all that matters to me.

since when can you bounce of a wall at 200km/h with no damage and still think it a simulation? :o

like i said GT WAS great but that was nearly a decade ago, it hasn't evolved @ all really apart from gfx......if it still floats your boat then good for you but it's flaws are pretty obvious and the series has rested on it's laurels for too long imo.
