Reading Festival 2007

I just meant that strictly reading has some false information on there. It has the Who listed for a start, and we know they definitely won't be there.

Anyway the date has been announced! 19th March tickets and lineup will go on sale.

According to the snazzy new official website:
www.readingfestival.com

Red Hot Chili Peppers have just announced a date in Scotland on the Thursday of Reading weekend.

They seem pretty certain headliners for the sunday now.

They'll play Scotland on the thursday, head to Leeds for the Friday and Reading on the Sunday i reckon.

Would make perfect sense, and they have no other dates or tour announced just one random day.

Bring on Chili Peppers!

Yeh it got put forward a week as apparntly it was a official press release from MF that said the 26th as a provisional date and not just a random rumour.

A week today and all the speculation will be over! And then begins the moaning of how the lineup is the worst one ever.

Then weeks of speculating about the next stage, then moaning. Repeat Ad Finitum until August.

When everyone has a cracking weekend anyway! :p

Ah, im going to have to try and pick one up off ebay or something. Wont be getting any money till April :( Failing that ill have to see if a mate can buy one for me and I pay him back.

Watched it on TV last year and was decidedly unimpressed.. Pearl Jam were the only band i'd have paid to see  that said, the atmosphere would be great once there :)

Don't judge it all on television coverage. Plus, the atomsphere is just as good as the music. :)

Pillow fight anyone? ;)

Same as any other festival/gig. They sell out VERY quickly.

But usually more (a limited number) will be put on sale at a later date. Also you should be able to pick some up on ebay for not much more than face once the hype has died down :)

So tommorow the lineup is announced and tickets go on sale.

I got mine in the presale and so thought i'd be avoiding the manic rush for tickets this year.

Apparantly not however as i've said ill help out a mate and try and get a ticket for him before he nexts gets paid.

Anyone else on here considering going then?

Where is the place with the best odds of getting tickets? I managed to get 10 tickets for Ricky Gervais' Fame with some dedication, in theory this should be a doddle... :)

I got tickets for Ricky Gervais Fame easy enough.

Reading Festival is in a different league im afraid. No matter how good you are, theres nout you can do if the website goes down under the sheer number of visitors.

See tickets and Ticketmaster are the obvious ones that will give you a good chance of picking up tickets if you persevere though.

Pfft. Last year I got 4 tickets from ebay a couple of days before it started. Paid very close to face value for them.

Oh i'm not saying its impossible. If you really want a ticket you will get one.

I was just saying that its not always as easy as being on see tickets at 5 to 7 and hoping for the best.

Good luck to anyone that tries to get tickets tommorow anyway. :)
