I think the streets have more credibility that daphne and celeste who they had on the main stage a few years ago.

I remember being there at leeds, the number of bottles thrown was extraordinary. :p

What a thoroughly annoying website.... "Muse - Rock for clever people"

I like Muse, always have. However, I cannot believe one could be so pretentious as to believe that because they enjoy Muse that they are of higher intellect than people who don't.

Haha, lots of Muse fans are like that, but then it turns out they actually know jack about music, and any kind of "indie" scene. (Not saying all Muse fans are like that before I get jumped on). Muse for me are basic rock, and good at it, but nothing more. Matt Bellamy is definitely up his own arse though.

"Muse epitomize pompous stadium rock in a technology-numbed, post-Radiohead era"

I love that quote :p (No prizes for guessing where it came from)

I don't care what they say, or anything like that. The website is the best website i know for live bootlegs for Muse, that's the only reason i go there. The actual content on the forum is utter dribble, but oh well. It still provides the songs.

I was gonna post that i thought that quote was tongue-in-cheek, considering it says "Intimidating ay?" right after it. However i'm not so sure after glancing at the shoutbox!

grrr music theory is so mind numbingly boring.. you have no idea.
:p

Anyway. It's not like Muse fans are half as bad as Radiohead fans. ;)

Die-hard Tool fans are the worst.
I should know, I am one :/

I went for the Friday at Leeds to see Pearl Jam. It was an absolutely awesome day. Started the day with Coldcut Live who put on a really good show, then bounced around until the mighty Vitalic came on. They played an absolutely STORMING set. Caught the tale end of Placebo who seemed to play quite a tight set, then 2 hours of Pearl Jam who were just mindblowingly good.

Then on Saturday we went to Creamfields over in Cheshire which was utterly mindlowing. Not one bad set throughout the entire night.

oh how i wish i didnt have to sell my ticket and work yesterday :(

anyone see 2many djs/soulwax nite versions ?

that show was bloody immense last time i seen it.

Exactly.. I made the exact same post in a different muse thread. The official forum is just as horrendous. Full of replied with just one smily.... loads of 'lol'ing replies... its just a hideous forum and may it die.

Radiohead fans are however far more pretentios about their favourite band. If you don't dislike lots of radiohead songs, you are just a "fanboy  ".

Silly attitudes really.

I beleive even a wheelchair was thrown at them :) That shows commitment.

I loved muse but it wasn't as good as their glastonbury show, imo. Still fun :)

The only thing I hated about the weekend was the abundance of scenesters everywhere you looked.

What was the Pearl Jam gig like?

i went out last night and missed it...anyone know if its repeated... I've tried to look for it to download.. no luck.
I thought it was absolutely amazing, one of the best shows I have ever seen. And I'm not even a fan, I'd only ever heard one or two of their songs before.
