Reaper - Cancelled?!?

So that's another show canned before it comes to an end.
That's why I like the 24 style series, where each season has a start and finish
 
Yep, season 2 was just brilliant. The bit with the boxer had me laughing so hard I had to watch it about 5 times.


Did he just knock himself out? :D

Welcome to the world of American TV networks.

It was well known the show was cancelled a while back, it's just we've only just caught up so to speak.
 
i was annoyed this got canned. wish i hadnt bother watching the last episode now.

First firefly now this....allthough not in the same league its annoying
 
It was up against American Idol every week and so they canned it due to relatively poor ratings despite huge support from it's fans, including myself. I joined in with a few things that Reaper DMV were doing to try and at least get a 3rd series commisioned but the dude who plays Sock got his own show fairly quickly, and Sam got a new show too. Jenny Wade (Nina) was massively behind the push for a 3rd season.

Chuck was lucky to survive... albeit with a dramatic budget cut and much shorter run for S3.
 
Shame that its ended...one of the very few shows i watch on TV these days...loved Sock as i found him hilarious...Nina was just pure hotness for me.

Sucks that its ended...
 
While it sucks its been cancelled... it had run its course really by the end of season 1 IMO... its really good stuff for a novelty sock is a legend and the guy playing the devil really owned that role... imo it would be better if they made periodic 2x 1 hour part episodes, rather than a whole season.
 
Aye I heard this got canned, I was bitterly disappointed as I loved the show :/ But I think Rroff is probably right, there wasn't really much else you could do with the show and it was just a case of dragging it out, like Prison Break.

There was a lot that had still gone unanswered. Such as the confusion over his deal and if he actually was the Devil's son.
 
Reaper never quite did it for me, I really wanted to like it. Too much like Chuck IMO. Regular Joe working in a big dept store... saving the planet one bad guy at a time.
 
It was pretty bad. I can't believe that actor got the part for Sam - he's dull as dish water and has a permanent sneer on his face.
The show was riddled with continuity errors/inconsistency's and the relationship story they dragged along between Sam & Andy was a bit tired and boring when they did it on Dawsons creek.
But Sock was pretty damn funny :) Jack Black with charm? perhaps :D
 
Yeah your right... so often I just wanted to punch sam in the mouth lol...

But they could give nina and the devil their own spin off imo and it would work quite well.
 
Some of the writers and I believe one of the actors has moved over to DollHouse. But that too is in danger of canselation with its season 2 premiere only getting 2.6 million viewers, the lowest ratings yet :(.

Yeah thats one show I was very upset to see cancelled :mad:. But there is a very good chance there will be a continuation of the show, albeit in the form of a 2 hour straight to DVD movie.
