Rebel Galaxy Outlaw

I got the Dingo today, it's a variant of the Coyote with 2 less gun hard points, 2 more launcher hard points but most important gets the level 2 cargo expanders, great for storing those slaves :)

Make a lot of money running stuff in systems with a black market.

Yeee,

you need to go to the Eureka system, and find a station called Bountiful Vista, dock at it, and follow it from there.

Finding it hard to go pirate.

I got my standing to max lawful just through natural game progression.

I figured doing bad things would quickly get you to unlawful/pirate standing's.

I figured wrong.

Literally spent good a good 4/5 hours of game time now grinding bad rep. Taking pirate missions, destroying police, frieghters left right and centre but still now just moving to the left side of neutral. It's actually amazing what you can get away with, with little to no consequences.

You have to be careful also as pirates auto attack you, if you fight back and kill them your standing goes back up, so you have to avoid them and kill only commonwealth ships.

Oh, a new rebel galaxy? Enjoyed the last one.

Edit: will play it in a year :p
Waiting for them to release it on the Switch and I will play it on there. I figure as the PC graphics do not look anything special, so it won’t look any worse on the Switch :)

I personally think it looks great on PC, especially the cockpits! :D

Still annoys me that there's only one display that displays everything I need to know. So I'm in the middle of a dogfight and tracking a pirate watching his distance go down so I know when to start firing etc when the screen gets replaced with a message telling me I've picked up some soy paste. Jeez.
Give me 2 monitors and spam the other one. I need my tactical display all the time.

Kinda agree with this, I'm always looking at it wishing it would just show me what I want. But I do think the ships UI being janky as Shhhh matches the over all aesthetic of game. So dunno if I would actually change it :P

Wait until you buy the fat trader ship.

That comes with two screens...that show the same info!

Devs having a giraffe :p

Sigh, picked up a mission as a low risk one. I've got a pretty beefy ship no. Undock and join the police in a fight right outside the port. Then instantly every ship in the area aggros on me. I'm dead before I get a complete volley off.

Next thing, I took from a station having just limped home from that gorram annoying EMP police ship fight (no manoeuvring power left) docked. Let it save as I really, really never want to do that mission again and on undocking I have no main weapons (4 auto cannons gone) and both my mining turrets are empty! What the heck!
I cheated money back to me to pay for them back but that was a weird glitch.

Still enjoying it though despite the minor flaws :)

Equipment can actually be destroyed, so this may have been what happened to you in this instance.

Yea I am enjoying the game a lot, I did manage to get pirate status after a while. The game doesn't actually change that much though, you just fight police instead of pirates.

You don't particularly earn more money as a pirate either, the best money I could make was in a lawless system, with a station with a black market.

Run missions and bounties in that system, against pirates. Pirates often carry black market goods which are generally more valuable.

Collect everything they drop, sell at station also collecting mission rewards/bounties at the same time = profit.

I think I have over 2.5m net worth now.

Does anyone know how you know you have finished the game?

I got through the quest where you can either betray your mother or help her, then after that I want to talk to my husband (whatever his name is) then randomly in the coversation the "Rebel Galaxy Outlaw" logo just flashes up on the screen. Does that mean I've finished the main story now? Bit random IMO

(Base game is too cheap to qualify )

(Sorry for detail)

Back on topic I could see me losing a lot of time to RGO were it not for having a child so don't get much game time. It is a great game.

I've got two and plenty of time when they go to bed. Sometimes staying up for far too long when I should be in bed when I get hooked.

Although I've got a queue of about 15 games on my desktop still to play. This being one of them.
