I fully expect the price at the pump to drastically come down, just like it always does when the cost of a barrel comes down.

/sarcasm off.

Even if the price of Oil comes down, our pocket pounding Government will just add a bit more duty on it again

Oil market has reacted to this news by... Doing nothing. Brent up 50c actually.

It takes time but the regime has gone, now how long before British/America companies start to "rebuild the country" Iraq 2003 mk2

Why on earth would we spend so much money on bombing Libya just to liberate the people.

How long before these rebels don't argee with what someone else is doing, insurgents aplenty.

Go away.

I probably shouldn't publicly post what I know, but lets just say that BP had paid Gaddafi a good few quid but not been getting much for the last 8 months since all this kicked off. It would have been far better for BP if the Libyan Civil War hadn't happen and they simply had their contracts with Gaddafi as planned.

What's your point? The Libyan civil war has happened and the UK government sided with the rebels. Do you think Gaddafi would have honoured BP's contracts had he won after that?

He would have done had we sided with him, meaning its rubbish to say we supported the rebels to get oil contracts we.... Already had.

They are already falling out with each other, the war has been the only thing really holding them together they have no organisation and no defined goals. Will be interesting times and I certainly suspect we haven't seen the end of the civil war just yet, too many young men with guns and different tribes for everything to be peacfull.
