Received what I think is a battery with my Logitech replacement mouse.

Manufacturer states weight at 3.06kg so weigh it. If its off by a fair amount good chance its not what it appears to be.

It does feel to be around that weight.

What concerns me is the fact that it looks like Logitech shipped it in one of those frustration free boxes, like the ones Amazon ship with. And it looks as if the box has been re-opened and re-sealed.

Why not open it??

It's got warning labels all over it and there is acid inside.

Should this be something I contact the police about or should I just forget about it?

its one of the battery's for a Mobility scooter, I bet its fell out of the parcel at the Post Office sorting office, and they have thought it came with yours and packaged it up.

If UPS delivered it and have said call the police, and lets face it, its very unlikely something like this would come from logitech, call the police on the non emergency number 101 for some advice.

On the packaging aswell it says 'FLEXTRONICS FGSS' which is a company that Logitech use for the fulfilment of the item. Doing a Google it seems like they could very much supply batteries etc, however it's still strange because the reported weight on the shipping label is 0.5kg when the battery is obviously a lot heavier than that.

Ah ok, probably nothing too untoward then to be fair! If I received something like that unexpected in the post I would think someone is trying to bomb me lol :D

Online shows that batteries of this type are actually against the law to put in the post anyway? I don't want to call the non-emergency number and end up having a big fuss over it.

What's the sender address of the parcel? If it's not Logitech and instead a logistics company tasked with sending out replacements they might have picked the wrong/an additional item. What does the packing note say?

Edit: I took a while to post that.

The address is:
FLEXTRONICS LOGISTICS
NOBELSTRAAT 10-14
5807 GA OOSTRUM
The Netherlands
1015 Luasanne

The packing slip just mentions the mouse and nothing else.
