i thought they all did it, mine did it from day 1 and still does it

maybe your keeping it dead straight and not wobbling it for the air to escape ?

If you don't like the screw end type, just bash one of these on, it's what I did for my cheapo screw type inflator. As pointed out, at least it means you don't have to race to get it off, as air leaks out!

I recently bought a Makita cordless compressor, and was annoyed that it had the screw on connector - I'll pick a couple of those up too. Nice one

I have to report on mine - When i put the winter wheels on and because they were very rusty they didn't keep pressure so bought a Guild battery tyre pressure pump- Got it from Argos and it's been brilliant -Each charge will pump up all 4 wheels twice - it also has the adapter to run off car ciggy lighter. It is like a battery drill.
Best thing I have bought for ages.

I bought an Aldi compressor at Christmas time for £12 in a sale, I already had the battery because I have a strimmer from the same family of power tools. It's great, you dial in the required pressure, connect to the tyre vale with the same connector that you get with a foot pump, and pull the trigger until it shuts off.
