got it today, the premium edition looking forward to playing it online the intro is as I would have thought awsome:-)

Patch 1.02 apparently reduces the "aggressive" patch checking done on startup whatever that means! It's meant to resolve the black screen a lot of people were getting when starting the game as the game checks for patches or something like that. I havent had it but my housemate always had to sit at a black screen for a few minutes before the menu appeared!
 
The black screen I think is caused by the game checking for updates but the servers are either down or getting hammered, it times out after a while. 1.02 was supposed to fix it but to be honest it made no difference.
 
It fixed it for me - on another note I wasn't so sure about this game but I love it now, the campaign is so much more fun than the Command and Conquer 3 one!

The game is so much more polished than the Beta as well.
 
brilliant game!

the best of the C&C series imo!

i actually really like the co-commander, it makes the battle seem more epic when you've got an ally plugging away on the other side of the map

in a way i'm glad my router is broken since i have a tendancy of skipping straight to online play, but so far the USSR campaign is really enjoyable (when you get to the real base-building missions).
 
Finally got my game working, played a skirmish game is awesome, bit slow but i find it quite like RA2 so i'm liking it, the outlines are the only downside to the graphics
 
guys, need huge help, i install... go to play, first time i got to the point where it told me about the multiplayer and clicked ok, but the game just crashes, background music plays, ingame mouse is movable but black screen..

everytime i start the game i get to the black screen (what should be a menu) with music playing and mouse moving, TM reports it as not responding everytime.

ive tried everything

going to try reinstall (again...)

where are the user data files saved to? each time i install i dont get the startup vids now so wondering where i can find the user files so i can clear those as well
