Red Bull launch thread

I honestly can't think of what the vent could be for. It must only be a few centimetres in front of the bulkhead/driver's feet, so routing that to the floor would be nigh on impossible?

Nope. Makes me think McLaren have sensibly stuck with the lower nose design they already had, rather than taking a risk on a high nose design they would have been a couple of years behind on developing compared to their rivals.

This. It also means whilst the teams are busy tweaking the design of that nose, hopefully Mclaren are developing other areas instead.

Yep, mclaren was at the front/second last year with low nose, so why go high. The high noses will surly be a compromis on last years design. I cant seem them being more efficient than last years.

That's Vettel's car unveiled, here's the one Webber will be driving. Helmut Marko oversaw it's design and building personally:

What would postive pressure in the cockpit do/mean?

At a guess the air would flow through the nose and not get disrupted due to the lack of 'abrupt step'

So you'd have smooth air flow around that area, then when it comes out of the cockpit you'd have a similar effect around the drivers head and roll hoop?

All a very basic farmers guess :p

Nothing too special on the RB then, no surprise considering the rules, soon every car will look the same, other than McLaren because they are different ;)
