I bet a bag of money this is PC boundIf they made a bag of money with GTAV on PC then if they want more money they'll release this too.

It won't be released on PC, last two were not and why change it now.
There is nothing the PC can offer that can't be delivered by consoles since the launch of the PS4 + and Xbone X
lol really, the PC is a far superior platform on every level, Rockstar won't even acknowledge a red PC release until it's well sold just like they did with GTA V.

I guess he's referring to it from the developers point of view ie that console development is if anything easier to deal with because there's known hardware and its locked down for hackers.
I suspect they might do, they had the demand for the original and gtav's been such a cash cow for them (costs aside) that they'd surely want that action again.
AndThat doesn't mean much, Destiny wasn't on PC for example.
I think just from the money aspect they will probably port this to the pc. Too much money was from the PC version of GTA5 to think they wouldn't. Will probably be a year later as normal.
I would never argue against that, however the selling point for a GTA V PC release was 60fps 4K both available to R* for RDR2 and easier to develop.
Wanna bet that neither console (PS4 Pro or Xbox One X) will run the game in native 4k @ 60fps?
LOL No, not sure they will manage 60 at 1080p
The point I am trying to make is the fanfare of the 60fps PC launch was that current gen would never achieve 60fps. The pro and X will I am sure achieve that at 1080p.
I just don't see R* porting a game franchise that has never been on PC. If they were going to, why wait? what will the benefits be on PC at a later date that pro and X can not deliver now.
One of the best trailers ever released IMO, Then again I am massively biased.

If they were to release on PC, then they would do it on game release. PC has become expensive for R* to maintain if their is an online component with RDR2. GTA V was unique in so far as it released before next gen consoles went on sale. So when it was finally released on new gen a PC release was inevitable as online was to be ramped up and old gen left behind. People bought the game again for whistle n bells and online content.
However, the anti cheat costs have been all PC for the past 2 years and why would R* or take2 most likely, want to keep having to burden the cost of PC ongoing when they can concentrate on the two consoles. Yep, they did well with GTA V (80 million copies) but they must be bored of trying to manage the game from the PC side of things.
So no, Red dead is and will continue to be a console exclusive.
Maybe you missed it, but this is Rockstar's MO. They always pretend PC does not exist in order to entice people to buy multiple times, and it works brilliantly for them.
GTA 4 was originally announced for consoles only. PC version only got announced after console versions were out.
GTA 5 was originally announced for consoles only. PC version only got announced after console versions were out.
RDR1 was not ported because according to rumors, it was a technical mess and not worth it. But right now they have perfectly optimized PC engine and all four consoles are basically PCs, right down to x86 and AMD GCN architecture. And GTA sold what, 10 millions on PC? Probably more since retail and nonsteam versions are not visible on steamspy.
RDR 2 will come to PC. But Rockstar will only announce it after console versions have been out for a while.
Oh and there is literally zero chance that ANY console version of RDR will run it at 60fps. Do not kid yourself.
GTA MO yes, RDR nope
GTA V PC was announced at the same time as the PS4 and Xbox 1. The PC release is not a port so it was never put up against the current gen.
Seeing RDR is only being released on PS4 and Xbox, The Pro and X will run it at 60FPS, Rage is very optermised, but I am sure you know that.
So just as you believe it will be released I believe it will not be released.
Yep, they're definitely going to turn down about 1.5 billion worth of sales because they don't want to pay a team of people to port it and look after it.... didn't realise games developers were on so much money.![]()
