Red Dead Redemption 2, GPU Benchmark, What You'll Need To Play!

What's the "best" way to buy RDR2 at the moment? ;)

I got one off the MM for £25 and one off cdkeys for £32 but if you Google there's another company that sell them for £26. Bit of messing with a VPN a redeeming the code in Russia

If you go into the pc games section there's lots of posts about it.

Can anybody confirm SLI support has now been introduced for RDR2?

I’m reading conflicting comments about it being introduced on a number of groups.

who cares? SLI is a dead feature and has never ever been worth it.

the sooner they stop supporting it the better.

even my mate who bought 2 x 1080ti's for sli 2-3 years back agreed and ended up selling one of them 2-3 months after buying it.

so you spend 2 times the money and you get 20% more power in 5% of games.

it works well - a fool and his money. manufacturers must be laughing their heads off at the people who buy them.

It's way more than that you get extra. But either way that was the question and you just jumped on the band waggon of "sli is dead" when if you look a few posts up it's clearly not dead at all.

Cheers
I have one for sale. I bought one in my wanted thread but my son doesnt want it, so I'll sell it on for what I paid {£25}. If your interested make a wanted thread and tag me.

Sorry pal. He's already redeemed it. Thought he didn't want it.

Just seen this, no probs thanks for the offer though.

I knew SLI would be knocked on the head, as a system with 2 gpu's is nothing but trouble. I had SLI years go and it had me tearing me hair out, but I couldn't go to 1 card as I had spent a fortune on it.. All I can say is I wont be going back there ever EVER again. When I eventually Switched to 1 card, it was like heaven as all the annoying problems just disappeared and the pc just worked.

But the same minimum fps so performance will appear much less consistent.
I'm on a 60Hz 4K monitor and it consistently feels good. I'm sorry if that annoys or upsets some people who don't believe SLI works.
It works in the games I play (the Witcher, RDR2, GTA5, Arma 3) although I'm sure people will now tell me my choice of games is wrong!
I'm very happy with it!

I believe all the cod games work too. I was about to get another 980ti but went with a 1080ti instead. I've had loads of sli rigs over the years. Usually it doesn't work when the game first gets released and everyone has a very. But then the game gets patched or new drivers come out and it works. Probably not as well these days but it does still work

Fact check: False.

Out of 23 titles, 11 titles showed negative or no performance scaling when switching to SLI. To be honest, we expected multi-GPU support to be even worse, so we were actually positively surprised.

At 4K, the RTX 2080 SLI shows +26% performance when averaged over our whole test suite, and the RTX 2080 Ti gains 24%. We include a second data point in the summaries that excludes all the games that don't scale, giving you the averages of SLI-supported games only. Here, things look better: +56% for the RTX 2080 SLI setup and +55% for the RTX 2080 Ti SLI, with the gains varying wildly between games.

Note: This isn't a recommendation for multiGPU setups. Merely correcting the record as too many people blow the death of mGPU out of proportion. For enthusiasts, there's still a lot of fun to be had with mGPU setups. ;)

COD Modern Warfare 2019 doesn't but previous versions did and a single 1080ti is fine for it. It's really well coded and performs brilliantly on one card for me.
