Red Dead Redemption 2, GPU Benchmark, What You'll Need To Play!

Everyone who recommended GTX 1060 6GB over the RX 580 8GB, where are you now? :D
The RX 590 is faster than a GTX 1070 :D

I'm finding DX12 is smoother so far. Vulkan seems to get some weird stutter when moving fast (like sprinting on horse) for some reason.

But lol at the people saying 3gb vram is still enough a few months ago :D

If using AMD force Async Compute = smoother gameplay than DX12 and better avg FPS and also no crashing DX12 has crashing issues that all my friends have had also even on Nvidia from 980, 1080ti

Tried it as I'm using a vega64. The fps might be slightly better but it's still not quite as smooth :(

No crashes at all so far.

I might try the latest AMD drivers as there is a Vulkan bug fix in it.

Silly question probably but where do you find the Force Async Compute in the AMD Radeon Settings ??

VEGA 64 also here, do watch out though if you force Async compute and then change any setting in graphics and click save the next time you run the game async with be turned off.

You don't you must open the settings of the game found in my documents, rockstar games, settings open the xml file and change async compute from false to true and save.

Make sure you first happy with the graphics settings in game otherwise it will over write the file and set it back to false.

Ahh right, it is that one. Had changed it to true earlier, wasn't aware it reverted it self though so have corrected it back to true. Thanks for the information about it reverting if messing around with the settings ! :)

we’re in 2019 that’s where we are :D

using RTX 2080’s! Our 1060’s being a distant museum like memory :D And come on how many 580 users are now smiling smugly sat at 30fps 1080p!

On a more serious note I can’t wait for this game to actually be released on PC (December I think ;))

All the beta testing hype is killing me!

Yeah
I noticed it because my game started stuttering again and I was like this done nothing until I noticed it changed back to false. Why its not in the settings of the game is beyond me it clearly works for AMD users aleast so give them the option to use it.

Photo mode graphics are boosted up vs playing the game. Don't be fooled by screenshots thinking this game is more advanced than it actually is.
