Red Dead Redemption 2

obviously 60fps is ideal, you can see from my signature that i have a reasonably high end PC and game at 165hz at 1440p or 4k at 60fps..

But having a console the size of a dvd player; sat almost silent playing a game that is more than playable in beautiful fashion... on a 4k HDR telly whilst sat chilled on a couch is often a better solution than being sat on my desk pwning noobs.. Especially for games like red-dead.

Going from 100fps 1440p freesync to 30fps is going to be so jarring, that’s the thing that will kill the experience for me personally. Well, not kill it because it’s going to be a sensational game that I’m massively pumped for, but the 30fps when I’m used to 3 or 4 times that normally I know I’m going to get hung up on.

I dont think it will be a huge deal honestly, if you are talking a game like Just Cause 3, Forza horizon 4 or GTA5 it really does makes a noticable difference.. (although forza has a 1080p60 option)

But recently ive been playing the 4k variant of Red dead 1 enhanced for XB1 and the frame-rate hasn't been an issue in the slightest, the original looks great and feels great on the console.

Let’s just hope now the game is almost here, they release they’ve broken all records on preorders and know it’s safe to announce the superior PC version and get the double dippers

I agree, at least in my experience i completed GTA5 3-4 times and played the hell out of it on console happy as larry before i experienced the better PC version :P Same goes for the witcher 3.

I don't feel comfortable playing games on xbox, since playstation has better graphics, getting back on xbox give me such an eyesore, literally get motion sickeness, especially on Rocket league which is never the case on PS4.

Its on PC already surely......as its on xbox!!

Was under the impression every (new ) xbone game works on the pc anyway (and will use the capabilities of your graphics card, so if its capable of 4k will look as good as on the xbone x)

I don't think RDR2 is an Xbox Play Anywhere title so not able to run on W10 at the moment.
Andi.

It will come to PC eventually.. No point throwing shade at someone opening a PC post about it.. Afterall some guy leaked it on linkdin a few months back.

GTAV was too much of a success on PC for them to not exploit red dead online, it has literally been a cash cow for them, i'd go as far to say that at least anecdotally more people currently play on PC GTA than console.

That Linkedin post was a troll. IF they have plans for a PC version it won't be worked on for a while, so the guy had no reason to post RDR2 PC under his resume, that's like an Epic dev putting Gears 20 on their profile.

Its a painful experience not being able to play this game on PC but I'm pretty confident we will get are much improved version next year! Rockstar have spent a good 7 years on this game & it sure does look amazing!

We have lots of games to keep us busy until then anyway so its not the end of the world but I will prob watch a good few hours tonight on twitch.

If you have an Xbox1X you can already stream the game directly to your PC anyway via the Win 10 Xbox Game Bar App until Rockstar decide to do a proper PC port but that is most likely some time away if GTA5 is anything to go by. Rockstar are quite content to let the console versions break the sales records.

I just realised something the other day. The online component is going to be so much better than GTAV without them constant annoying phone calls that you can't turn off.

Well we never got the first one.

I wonder how many times this has been repeated in the thread lol. No we didn't but times change and GTAV did incredibly well on PC.
