Red Dead Redemption 2

If its anything like GTA V then its well worth the money! As we all know you can spend hours and hours on Rockstar games and they are very well made , You also have the online mode where the story continues with friends so endless gaming. When you look at it from that point of view then you will 100% get £50-60 worth of gaming from it.

Fair points, but as someone who triple-dipped with GTA, PS3, PS4 and then PC, and who already owns RDR2 on the PS4 Pro, I don't think Rockstar would begrudge me looking for a discounted copy of RDR2 PC on launch day. :D Hell, they should be offering me a discount! And no, £55 doesn't feel very discounted for a PC title.

And besides, I need to save every £ I can on PC gaming since buying a 2080Ti. :p

Ooh, not sure how I missed that the PC launch had been confirmed until today.

I don't mind different launchers, but not overly happy that there is only one place where you can actually purchase it. I'll most likely pre-order anyway though, I rarely buy a game at full price but feel I can make an exception here. Don't care about MP so at least I don't need to decide whether to stretch for ultimate.

How much is the game on sale for? Cant seem to find the price unless I install their launcher.

Yeah, it is rather annoying, I had to install the launcher to check. Its £55 for the special edition and £70 for the Ultimate edition. There are various in game extras you get for pre-ordering as usual with these things, you can also pick two free rockstar games from a selection if you pre-order by 22/10.

Yeah I was about to say the same, based on how long it took GTA V to drop I wouldn't hold your breath. Unless it turns out to be an absolute stinker, but that seems exceedingly unlikely.

So I'm looking to pre-order and it says pre-order bonus is either 2 games or free upgrade to special or ultimate edition. Isn't special edition the standard one anyway? I am not bothered about free games as rarely go back to play old games. So how do you get the "free upgrade" to ultimate edition or does that just happen automatically?

You have to buy the Special Edition to get the upgrade to Ultimate Edition. If you buy the Standard Edition you get upgraded to the Special Edition.

Personally, I’m going to wait until it launches before buying elsewhere hopefully.

I'd probably wait ordinarily, but by chance I have the following week off work so think I'll just buy. Out of interest how did GTA V work with the steam version, did it just launch the rockstar launcher in the same way Ubisoft games launch Uplay, or did it work independently?

I’m trying to get a bit more understanding of the multiplayer in this. Need a new coop shooter for me and my dad.

we’re bored of wildlands and don’t fancy breakpoint.

my dad is mad on westerns.

I will enjoy it anyway but I need to know what to expect before dropping a ton between us on it.

will the story potentially be modded for coop Perhaps?

thanks.

From what I understand from my readings, the online is set slightly before the events of the single player but does contain its own storyline, I read it had like 12 missions to it, so I'm guessing theres sort of a co-opable storyline of sorts that can be followed..along with the non-storyline content of course.
