Red Dead Redemption Thread

I wish my copy of this would get shipped already its been "packing" for 4 days now. which means I cant cancel it and if it hasnt got to my UK address by thursday then im not going to see it till my July mail shot comes from work.

Now that would be really annoying and its going and i just know it will get stopped by korean customs like battlefield.
 
Is it just me or if you go into the multiplayer lobby (free roam) and get disconnected and sent into another free roam it just fails to load and your stuck on a never ending loading screen?

On the 360 btw!

I was getting disconected a lot at first but never stuck on a loading screen

I emailed rockstar support i done the things they told me to do with no joy, To solve it i changed routers and its been fine since :confused:

(PS3 version)
 
Hmmm think it might be to do with my NAT settings showing up as "Strict" even though the only kind of security i use on my router that might interfere is "MAC Address Filtering", but don't see how?!

If that's the stupid flower collecting challenges then I already had to do them all on multiplayer. Collect 10 Violet Snowdrops and 2 of every other plant in the game? Is that the same one or is it something even more annoying? :(

Hello Andy,
If you have a less open NAT type, the problem you describe is most likely caused by a conflict with another player using an incompatible NAT type. Consult your network hardware manual to set up a more open NAT type

Could you please let us know if any of this helps?

Had a laugh yesterday. I went over to old grandad who had asked me for some flowers, it turned out I hadn't enough so no problem. I turned round to get on my horse and I saw a dark figure near a tree (it was night).

I approached said figure and it was a random el'bandito taking a pee! So I stabbed im with me knife! He proceeded to chase me whilst urinating everywhere as he ran! Then eventually I got bored of running and just shot the sod.
 
Went to trade in some games earlier to pick this up and it's literally not in stock anywhere...

Do we know if/when the stock issues are being resolved? (360 version for me)

Only briefly popped into Norwich earlier and was greeted with afew no RDR (either format) posters in windows. The Hammond supermarket did have the PS3 version though.

Finally managed to do some more story missions last night and got to Blackwater. I must say one of if not the last Mexico mission did have a rather amusing cutscene in it, not what I was expecting with all jiggly bits jiggling everywhere :D:

I have heard tons of different stories from different people, all in Norwich. Some have said that there were lots of copies and some have said there were none anywhere...I mean one guy(17 years old) managed to get it without even being asked for ID and he said the *Insert a 4 lettered store* had like 20-30 copies...I just hope my Mum can find a copy for 360(I'm nearly 15 so would most likely be asked for ID)

You might want to remove the name of the shop from your post. I only ventured down St Stephens and the well known retailer there had no copies of either. Cant speak for the ones by the Mall although I would suspect it would be the same. Supermarkets are best bet.
 
Had a lol moment in multiplayer a few dyas ago, was aiming at an npc who was on a wagon, he froze into 1 of those comic expressions, weird smile hands up at different heights and head slightly turned.
 
I find expert aiming to be surprsingly easy. Only took about 5 minutes after putting it on to get the achievement.

Haven't looked back since.
 
haha i shoot a cougar in sp yesterday and he went flying miles away......my mrs was not impressed haha. how come when i go to thiefs landing, people are shooting me? about 26% into the game? Oh about the co-op trophies are these just free roam trophies?
