Red Dead Redemption Thread

i managed to tame a wild horse and the game saved but i got off it and it just ran off. Is there any point to doing that ?
 
Why have I not heard of this game before? Well I have but didn't look into what it actually was. Watched an introduction video on youtube and this game looks absolutley epic.

Will buy it on payday :)
 
As much as I like this game, I'm getting so frustrated by the lock up / crash I keep getting whenever I attempt to do a Bounty. Have installed the game to HD too.

It literally crashes to dashboard (360) without fail, which means I basically can't do bounty missions! I hope this is patched, a lot of people seem to be having problems like this.
 
Rockstar deserve massive kudos for the western landscape they've created. Great fun riding across the plains watching the sun going down.

Possibly up there GOTY contender.

I'm warming to it, but Rockstar must (MUST!) support this game like they did with GTA4 - even more so. They could add tons of high quality content to SP and MP, the latter is a bit sparse at the moment but what they do have is fun to play. The game mechanics are fantastic, I was just playing online with someone off here (Tone) and it was great having missions to complete (hideouts) but they must add more to the map!
 
8 hours in and ive done bugger all missions. Game is amazing!


How did everyone handle one of the stranger missions

the cannibal guy? I lassoed him up cut the other dude free and the dragged him around for miles :D
 
6hrs of gameplay and I'm 16% complete! Gonna be a long game :) Took me nearly 3 hours just to get to get a lasso!

Had my first crash on PS3 where I tried to play a cutscene whilst the game was trying to save, won't be doing that in a hurry again!

Just done that part Stoke, I just dropped him with 3 shots!
 
Had some fun "incidents", the best was running along a mission, along with a lady on a horse, i stopped for a second, just with no call of placement, just to take a drink, heard her talking away "Oh thats funny Mr Marston, I'll remember that for the rest of my life!" or something to that affect, suddenly heard a train-esque noise, and didn't realise I had stopped just next to the train track, and turned the camera to see the train plough her and her horsie into the middle of next week! Always nice when it happens totally by accient!

Also had some MP with Rumpel4$kin and his brother tonight, running round free roam, decided to do a hideout, no problem, just before the end his brother dc's, we carry on, another guy in the free roam session decides to try and kill the boss, gets gunned down by us numerous times, eventually taking the message,a nd decides to quit, although he did leave his corpse behind, near a weapon refill pack...... :D

Can't go wrong with Once Upon A Time In The West.

Probably the 2nd greatest western ever made.
