Red Dwarf

Have to be optimistic about anymore red dwarf, if they can do Dr Who again well, then they can look at what was best about RD and recapture that magic.

Dr Who has always changed the cast though, it's more about the concept than the people involved. Red Dwarf has always been about the small cast and their interactions, I really don't think it could be re-made in the same way.

I dont think it could be remade but with a decent script the original cast could all do a sterling job, they showed the potential of how well they still work together in series 8, unfortunately the scripts weren't really in the vane of the show if you ask me, but it showed it could still work

I found Series 7 to be a bit of a lame duck, but series 8 had some superb moments. Especially in the Back in the Red 3 parter.

So, 4 x 30 minute episodes to be shown on Dave with a mixture of new and old footage.

Hmmmm. Still, won't ever say no to more Dwarf.

They obviously need to somehow rekindle some of that magic found on series 4 - 6 and try to limit that goofiness from series 8. Otherwise any come back would be awful. However I can't see it happening that way...

Cassandra: All the Canaries will be dead within one hour...except for Rimmer...
Rimmer: Yes! (punches the air with relief)
Cassandra: ...who will be dead in twenty minutes

:D
