What the hell were they doing with that? If a group of talented people sat down and spent a few months trying to screw RD up as badly as possible, they might have been able to make something that bad.

Perhaps they were trying to make a perfect example of how not to create a foreign version of a popular TV program.

I thought it was picking up towards the end of series 8. I watched them all again a few months ago and I think it was recovering after a slump.

I do prefer the first two series, though. It had a fresh feel to it.

Awe man, I miss RD now... if I wasn't moving and didn't have to take go through 6 hundred million boxes to find the RD dvd's I'd be watching them again :(

Sod it, I think I'll go find them tomorrow! Red Dwarf is worth the hastle from the misses saying "you're supposed to be packing!"... This is Red Dwarf woman!

I don't think it's just the extra budget for seasons 7 and 8. I think it worked better with a really small cast, and it really needed the interactions between Rimmer and Lister. I thought Clare Grogan was a much better Kochanski too, which I guess didn't help when they wanted her as a main character.
 
I read that the film, apart from Scripting Problems (Rob Grant and Doug Naylor could never agree on anything!) suffered from Financing problems!.. One I heard was some (supposed) Millionaire was going to stump up the money.. they meat up with him only for it to be a scam!!.. this sort of thing happend a couple of time!!..

I wish I had the money!... I'd put it forward!! :cool:

Does it mention: 'The Committee for the Liberation and Integration for Terrifying Organisms and their Rehabilitation into Society' on the Back!?... Mine does but some of the later ones don't!..

I've also got 'Ace Rimmers Worlds Tour' with a large list of alternate dimensions on the back, 'Space Corps Directives', and 'Gunmen of the Apocalypse' T's.. but the don't fit me any more!... Curse my Chunky Fat Old Frame!! :(

I hope this isnt true, things should be left as they are, all these "new episodes" are awful.

Blackadder is a perfect example, what the hell was that time travelling hour episode all about!?

I cant judge unless it happens and I see it but god I'm expecting the worst.
