Thought the "she didn't see that coming" was one of the better scenes tonight although it's not saying much. Both episodes so far have been poor even against season seven.
 
Some parts were funny, but can't help think it's a contrived plot resulting in the fact they don't have the ability to recreate any of the original sets like the room with bunks.

Last one must improve!

That must be one of the most shocking pieces of comedy i've ver seen. Man that was cringeworthy. Thought the first episode was bad the 2nd was prolly worse. Man that **** was utterly terrible how could anyone disagreee? what a shame, couldn't believe Lister was acnt as though he was literally acting in corrie!? WTF.?
Rimmer, Lister, Kryten, Kat = ***.
 
I thought the first episode had its moments and "just" managed to retain a Red Dwarf feel.

However this episode tonight shocked me completely... it was just woeful :( I merely managed one smile with the video enhancement scene but that was it. The part on the bus with the kids... was that still Red Dwarf? :(

The starbug car turning up on the set of corination street didn't exactly light my fire in anticipation of the next episode either.

God I feel like a nark but I cant help it... /cry
 
Kryten's line after the other hologram bought it completely slayed me.

I'm hoping this leads to a reveal of a new proper series, possibly the series 9 and 10 that have 'already happened' where everything else is explained. I'm not entirely impressed with the whole thing but if it's a segway into the announcement of a proper series then it's all good.
 
The second episode was much better, had me laughing a fair bit.

I'm happier, but they went a bit iffy with the story!
 
I missed the first episode (idiot) and only caught 10 minutes of second episode (yep same idiot)

Er, starbug car, corination street, reference to dave channel, no laughter. WOW I really wanna watch all 3 new episodes now....:(


I have all red dwarfs on dvd but from what I saw this looks awful.
 
Ahh the potential is there, but the story line? Talk about convulted :O

Best part was the image enhancement scene, but otherwise it was lacking.


"pan left... rotate 170... zoom 60%...there... focus on the reflection on that lamp-post.. flip horizontal.. focus.. rotate 20... there, there's the address"
