Red Orchestra (2) : Heroes of Stalingrad

I almost gave in yesterday for early beta access, spent £20 more and swap my shop pre-order for origin. Glad I didn't...

Sounds like BF3 will not beat RO2 and SC2 for my affections :)

I certainly wasn't in a great mood last night an although everything I said still stands, I am sure on a real map (conquest), it should be a lot better than it is now.

Maybe I have changed, but I like the pace of RO2 much more.

RO2

More so now because of the way the developers treat people, It's like there is a constant attitude " It's not our game that's the problem, it ran perfect for us it's your hardware "

Then they come out with

" We've found the problem and are fixing it "

I still think it's because you can't choose a difficulty level for multiplayer :o

I see where you are coming from.

Playing devils advocate, I think they have been just as frustrated with the whole issue.

They are a good dev though but I know with the problems you have had, that means **** to you but from their previous releases, I cannot say they have left one game a bugged up mess, more the opposite, they have gone out of their way to improve their games and listen to their community.

Killing Floor has received many free expansions over time.

You may dislike the way they have spoken to their community about all this but they have communicated more than the bigger publishers do with millions of pounds to back them up.

Lets see how well DICE handle BF3 :)

Yeah Gimpy pretty much somes up my experiences with TW.

Been playing RO in its various forms since 2003 and Killing Floor too. Free updates & DLC for both.

The issues regarding this release have troubled some. But thats a PC release for you. So many combinations of hardware and OS's that they were bound to come undone at some point.

Which is why there are fewer and fewer PC only titles. Why expose yourself to all that grief when you can either port over a console game (yuk!) or just not bother.

I still have my gripes with this game (server browser, spawn issues/system & non-heroes with hero weapons) but I know over time they will be resolved.

I think I played for a total of 10 minutes on my old rig before submitting a refund request (that eventually for rejected). The game just ran like crap on the recommended hardware, and the gameplay seemed to be entirely pixel hunting whilst prone. I don't intend on playing this again, not when I have Battlefield 3 to play.

Those red triangles are pretty easy to spot, you should be ok.

Game is dying and will die soon i reckon - this morning/early afternoon all that I found online was just over 1000 players. At tops ive seen maybe 4500 or so.... thats dire, especially when a % will leave the game for BF3.
