Red, Yellow, Green, Brown, Blue, Pink and Black. It's the General Snooker Thread!

Snooker Shoot-out for the next four days. Just seen Cao Yupeng in last year's final with Mark Allen. He seems to have gone AWOL this year. Not seen him at all.

He has no interest in the game, just an interest in money and sucking up to his rich Chinese and Saudi mates

Aye he's up their jammers with a scrubbing brush. The same person that wont play usually turns up to the same venue to ramble on Eurosport with his little partner in crime Jimmy.

It’s strange isn’t it. Even if you keep cocking up your shots, what’s to say the other player makes a complete hash of it too and you get the wrong outcome? :)

Just watched this vid about Griff, near the end he talks about having a few years perhaps, wonder if he was diagnosed at this stage or just coincidental.

Allen the only player left in the Scottish Open semis that isn't from China, wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if we have a Chinese world champion this season or soon after.

more worryingly there are no new real super talents coming through for the UK, players like Stan Moody are really good but there just seems to be that something special missing.

Back around the Hendry days, they said you had to be a top 16 to stand a realistic chance of a ranking tournament win. Now real talent goes all the way to at least the top 64, heck, iirc, Lei in today's final is approx #75!

Speaking of Lei, massive comeback last night in the semi against Allen, won the the decider 6-5 from being 2-5 down at around 0030... And now leads the final against Wu 4-0 (best of 17 I think)!

If anyone wants to watch the Saudi Golden Ball 167 event, it’s free on DAZN from Wednesday to Friday, 2pm and 7pm. It’s going to be free to watch, you just need to create an account.

Eight weeks after an emergency hernia operation, 55 year old Ken Doherty has qualified for the televised finals of the German Open next month.

Bai is knocking on the door to qualify for the finals of a ranking tournament, continuing her promising run of results in recent weeks. But she lost in the final qualifying round today 5-1, after making the second highest break by a woman in a ranking event (128, best is Allison Fisher from '93, who made a 133).
