Religious Help!

Hey all, i am recently experiancing some very religious problems. I am a Muslim since birth, gone to mosque since the age of 5 all the way to 14 where i finished the Quran and all the other books and then left, and it has just hit me, I was at the mosque for all those years just waiting to leave and after i did i did not read the prayers even once a day, as i didn't believe in what the book said and all the rules and regulations you had to do. I have read the bible and i feel more close to that book more than i do to the Quran. How do i convert myself to the christian belief?

Don't bother.

Find me a bible that says 'three wise men', or an apple in the garden, or an orange.

Find your own :) - you are correct that there is no mention of the apple in the bible. It's more than likely to have been a orange but could have been any fruit as 'forbidden fruit' is all that's mentioned. However, most people talk of Adam and the apple so I hope I get forgiven for that faux pas.

You were just spouting out your own misconceptions
I may have been or I may not have been. I'm not above being wrong.

Perhaps YOU should find out about it before telling untruths. Here, knock yourself out ;)

Why does everything have to be backed up by t'internet ?
Why does some 'offhand' interesting information that I happened to pick up and read from a book 5+years ago have to be exactly correct ?
I mentioned it as an aside.... I remember when you used to be able to have a conversation with someone and not have to be 100% correct before opening your mouth.

Seeing as I can't really remember the book title and its hard to link to a real book on here, it's just as easy for you to google as me if you're that interested in my misconceptions  .

As I have a little more time today, here enjoy yourself....

The first problem is that Lucifer is a Latin name. So how did it find its way into a Hebrew manuscript, written before there was a Roman language?....

The answer was a surprise. In the original Hebrew text, the fourteenth chapter of Isaiah is not about a fallen angel, but about a fallen Babylonian king, who during his lifetime had persecuted the children of Israel. It contains no mention of Satan, either by name or reference. The Hebrew scholar could only speculate that some early Christian scribes, writing in the Latin tongue used by the Church, had decided for themselves that they wanted the story to be about a fallen angel, a creature not even mentioned in the original Hebrew text, and to whom they gave the name "Lucifer."

taken from here :-Satan not in original text

Different versions of the bible

Admittedly an Islamic viewpoint of the different bible versions...
Islam view of different versions.

Now I can go back to spouting misconceptions and untruths :D ....

When's the sequel coming out?
They're never as good as the originals. Plus didn't all the main characters from the first one die at the end in Armageddon*? (not the Bruce Willis one!)

Incidentally, did anyone else think that Mel Gibson's remake of The Life of Brian just wasn't as funny as the original? ;)

*Whoops. Spoiler alert!
