Hi all,
I've spoken to my fleet manager and managed to sell him the idea of getting my new company car remapped to "improve economy" - he said he was happy for a remap as long as it did not involve modifying the car, i.e. physical changes to the car (i.e. exhausts, intake that sort of thing).
Now bearing in mind that it will be a bog standard car and not have any modifications, are companies like superchips (I'm not necessarily meaning them but using them as an example) worthwhile seeing as I won't need a custom map?
Unfortunately, we've had all our company car choices severely restricted owing to wanting to lower tax and costs, unless you're on the board or a senior manager you have very little choice. It's a lovely 508 1.6 HDi Active.
Hence my reason for a remap - it'd be nice to at least get it up to around 140 to make it less painful.
