Hi all,

With yet another lockdown, I was wondering what are people using to support personal devices?

Team viewer? Something else?

I normally use team viewer as it’s simple and can setup a unattended access so you don’t need to keep getting the details from the end user.

RemotePC. Used to use logmein but the prices spiralled so went with RemotePC because its priced realistically.

I just use Quick Assist these days given its built in to Windows 10.

I use Teamviewer Quick Support. I tell the person to go to a link, they run it and I connect using Teamviewer personal. Works every time.

Yes it does. A tech support place I know uses RMM. I have used it before and it's good but probably costly per machine.

I use TeamViewer. These nice Indian sounding chaps called me from Microsoft and helped me set up my computer for remote support. Only cost me my life savings.

Anydesk these days works well at an individual level, good for one shot support too of relatives/friends.

Er, well that's new!

I've been using it free on multiple PCs at home for ages. Looks like I'll have to avoid upgrading.

If you Google Anydesk free it's readily available. Looks like they are just not promoting the free version anymore.

Yeah, sadly this will be for work purposes

Ideally I want to provide a link and they goto it and run the exe, that's it, no literal installing.

The Microsoft connection tool is fine until someone doesn't have it

To be fair team viewer isn't free for businesses either.
