Renowned journalist resigns in protest of attacks on press freedom

They always have been, but these days they seem to be more extreme and just making stuff up.

Personally, I think the news should report things, not give us their opinion on things.

Certainly there should be laws in place to stop "billionaires" owning news outlets. It is extremely important that the news is unbiased and simply reports the news. Sure there will always be a bias but the amount of fake news and just downright lying has reached new levels and it needs to be stopped. I honestly believe it is incredibly dangerous. It's no different what happens in places like North Korea, where the news is 100% biased and 90% fake.

Most news sites do just report things. On the major sites pieces will be marked as an "opinion piece".

Which reputable news sites make things up? Pretty much the only source of fake news these last 4 years has been the failed ex president.

. It is even the admin joining the denial. What is the deal here ?. I was under the impression it was a discussion forum.
Anyway I have no idea who you think I am. No wonder it was all over twitter mocking the forum members constant behaviour.

Wait what? OCUK forums are source of twitter discussions?

What I mean by that is that it seems that many news sites now give opinions rather than just giving the facts. I mean if you listen to CNN you hear one version of the "news" and you listen to FOX you hear a completely different version of the same thing. News bodies should just report the news and avoid giving us their opinions on that news.

Well yeah, this is because Fox are not a news network and consistently tell alt facts. They are not a reputable news network.

I understand they have less regulation because they are a cable channel and not a broadcast channel. Go figure there's different standards due to transmission method.

No its more a case of they defended a court case and won on the grounds that they are an "entertainment" channel and under no obligation to tell the truth and that their "news" stories are just entertainment and fiction and their viewers fully understand that when they watch it.

Idk about a court case, this seems to suggest it's not regulated because it's a cable channel (in the US, in the UK you can be booked however you transmit your shows):

Not sure their viewers understand much to be honest. :p

Fancy that, the corporate media are willing to acknowledge Biden family corruption involving China and Ukraine now that it appears he has won the election and will be immune to any prosecution. Isn't not reporting and even censoring something because it hurts a particular party election interference?

Its an investigation, previously it was just mad conspiracy theories, there is no corruption as yet.

Its like spew out 100 conspiracy theories then claim to be a ******* psychic when 1 turns out to be, possibly, true.
