Resident Evil 3 Remake

So finished my original Resident Evil 2 playthrough as Leon. Finished it in just under 3 hours :p

Funny how it worked out as it took me 5 hours to complete the original Resident Evil 3 yesterday. Probably the fact that I remember a lot more about Resident Evil 2 it being my favorite and most played Resident Evil may have to play a part.

Updated ranking with an adjustment to where I think Resident Evil 3 Remake will land based on what I have read recently:

1- Resident Evil 2
2- Resident Evil
3- Resident Evil: Code Veronica
4- Resident Evil 3
5- Resident Evil 2 Remake
6- Resident Evil 0
7- Resident Evil 3 Remake
8- Resident Evil 4
9- Resident Evil 7
10- Resident Evil 5
11- Resident Evil: Revelations
12- Resident Evil: Revelations 2
13- Resident Evil 6

After playing and completing both the original Resident Evil 2 and 3 in the past few days they both stay in the same place in the ranking order, though I have to say Resident Evil is a whisker away from taking the top spot. To be honest the top 3 are very close to each other.

@TNA I think resident evil 1 one was always my favourite. It was the first game I got with my ps1 and I loved it.

What's the HD remake like on steam? Does it still hold up years later?

Remake is better in every way I would say. So much so that I just call it Resident Evil rather than Resident Evil Remake. Loved it back in the day when I got it on my GameCube.

Just tried a bit of the demo and really liked the presentation. I couldn't whack everything up to the hilt but got a good ~80% of the eye candy to participate.

The fire and lighting look amazing.

As a massive resident evil fan I cant believe I'm saying this but

I'm waiting for this one to go on sale.....which they do very quick.
Reason is resi 3 was always my least favourite of the originals and this looks too of took away from that even, going by reviews.
I'm a couple of hours into half life alyx and only get a few hours a week so this will likely be cheaper by time I get to it.
Think I will even play the original resi 3 on dolphin first.

But when/if code veronica comes I will be all over it the second it unlocks.

Think I am going to wait as well. Got this to get through again. There are some positives to a lockdown :P

Once you get past tank controls it just goes to show how playable these old Resi titles still are!

absolutely mate.

Ive got a cracking collection of all resi games somewhere in my dads loft. even bought all the books.....tho never read them

think I have got resi 2 on ps1, n64, dreamcast and remake on pc.

And resi 1 on ps1 and directors cut on ps1, then remake on gc and pc.

I think that what also made this different length wise among other factors was when this was originally in development back in the day it wasn't supposed to be a main title resident evil game.

It changed at some point and they made it part of main story line, I reckon if it came out as the spin off back then some of the complaints would differ as it would be judged different

3 has always felt like it could have been dlc to 2 really

Res Evil 3 should be with me today dependant on post!

I played the originals and the RE and RE2 remakes - but for some reason i cannot recall playing Code Veronica. I'll have to go and watch some youtube vids to see if i did actually play it!

Cdkeys are sending the keys now but no steam preload yet. Even though I already know the game is very short (the demo shows nearly all the new content which is not from RE2 remaster ) could not resist buying!

Code Veronica was great, I hope that gets a remake, I do not want them to remake 4 (partly cause i think 4 is very very over rated and its had enough updates and re-releases)

I hope AMD release the keys tomorrow. Last time they took their time.

Currently playing Onimusha Warlords as I finally managed to pick up a cheap steam key. Some old school fun :D

I hope they remake them and Dino Crysis. Loved those games back in the day.

Yeah, Dino Crisis please. I played some Onimusha as well during my PS2 days, was pretty great. Sekiro actually gave me a bit of a similar feel from newer releases.

Not a huge fan of souls like games, they can be a bit too hard at times and as rewarding as it can be when you finally get the kill it can get annoying also. Only one I enjoyed was The Surge and even that is ok.

I really liked Sekiro, almost as much as Bloodborne, I think it's my only platinum on Steam. Played through four times and did everything, though I understand they're not for everyone. TBH, I don't really like Dark Souls itself, only BB and Sekiro. I tried DSIII and couldn't get into it after those two.
