I hope you are right. If they added stuff the way they did in the original RE remake then it will be great.

Pondering preordering the PS5 version with the steelbook but not sure whether I'll be able to play it on release as the backlog is still somewhat hefty so I might wait.

Fairly optimistic about this, the locations look a more atmospheric in the remake so hopefully it'll add a bit of tension to the game. Also hoping for new sections/gameplay elements and other changes to switch it all up a bit.

RE4 was excellent, it just wasn't an excellent RE game but I'll gladly take the remake anyways.
 
It bugs me that there's some content only available to those who pre-order - a treasure map and extra "treasures". I seriously doubt they'll make much difference to the actual overall experience, but the practice annoys me all the same.

Just pre order from CDKeys. If reviews come out and you are not happy, ask for a refund. Basically unless you view the key, you can request a refund.
