Games made with this engine are created on the PC and ported over to the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3.

I was tempted to grab this on Steam until I realised the DLC was multiplayer DLC. If it were DLC like RE5 had then I would have probably jumped on it.

Hmm, I'm pretty sure that when you buy a Steamworks game from something that isn't Steam itself, you'll still get all of the pre-order goodies once you register it on Steam. I could be wrong, but I thought GMG sold codes from boxed copies?

Every single game should be made for PC and ported to consoles, Capcom may do a lot of stuff completely wrong but they got this right.

Dont think so. At least I didnt with Tomb Raider and I got my code for that from GMG
 
Are the extras available to view straight off?.. because i can't find a link or anything to get them from.. or will they be made available when the game is available?.. wanted to look at the artbook/soundtrack seeing as i've pre purchased lol
 
Mine installed from DVD around 1am then took around 20 mins to install to HD. 16Gb exactly from the 2 DVD's then downloaded another 1GB from Steam as it obviously does not include all files on the disks. Only bought it as its £13.85 & hoped Capcom had launched with the console patches integrated (they did not bother) I knew it would be a steaming POS & I was right its also the unpatched version 2 patches behind the console versions as you need to perform all QTE's (there are way too many) & cannot adjust the FOV properly so the camera is way too close to the player. Did not really cost me anything whatsoever as I sold my 360 steelbook version but the PC is the same game with terrible gameplay & the DX9 only gfx looked ok around 4 years ago but this MT Framework engine looks badly dated now textures are PS2 level here. Loading times are also no different to console way too many as well SSD makes no difference either here.

If Tomb Raider had not arrived a few weeks ago & been so good (after patching that is!) RE6 would still not have got a good reception on PC as it stands this is going to fail big time launching between Tomb Raider & Bioshock Infinite was a poor decision at least its cheap @ £19.99 RRP (the price is the big clue to the overall quality sadly).

was thinking the same about the harshness but each to their own lol, i'm downloading it now, if it's anything like Re4 or 5 then i'l enjoy it, i didn't mind the whole moviesque feel to them, they aren't as atmospheric as the originals but still enjoyable non the less.
 
I played and finished on the PS3 and as a fan of the series i loved it. The Leon campaign is the best. I would loved to have seen Tyrants like the ones in Damnation though. :( But overall a good game with decent difficulty level and a decent amount of gametime (Think it took me about 30 hours to complete all the campaigns)

Yeah played a bit more and I enjoy it, as said above you can't beat the first couple of games but I do like this one it is pretty damn good. Well worth the £13 I paid anyway.
 
Wheres the mp option on this game. I start it up it asks me to adjust the graphics options and brightness and then the game starts. I cant see any mp options at all?

Quoted for truth. This, along with Tomb Raider, are pretty much everything that is wrong with gaming. Oh quick I must press the X button or they will die. Seriously. Is this what gaming has come down to? Tomb Raider is better than this though but only marginally - I used to think that, as technology got better, that the games would offer more freedom and were only limited due to resources.

Quick-Time-Events ruin games in my opinion. They don't add anything. Resi Evil 1 and 2 were superb games. Personally I think they should do what Age of Empires 2 is doing and have HD versions of them that run on Windows 7 onwards.

I'd certainly pay for RE1/2 HD.

Well it's not so much quick time events that I feel is the killer, it's just the move away from puzzle based gameplay that was a staple of the series, which since you just happen to mention Tomb Raider, the same applies to that.

Modern games seem to be just CoD style blast your way from point A to B collecting an item along the linear path.
 
It looks like turd but its a very hard game imo. Playing the leon campaign at the moment and I've died 4 times so far and im only in the cemetery part lol
