Resident Evil [Netflix] TV Series

I didn't mind it personally, took a couple of episodes to get with it I felt but a lot of things are like that.

Cancelled after one season it appears.

Not surprised at all, wonder if it wouldn't have been cancelled if they didn't try to shoe horn the RE name in.

I sacked this off after half hour. I was going to bed anyway but thought i'd just give it a quick go, i wasn't expecting much or after great viewing, but the sister act just pointless and annoying. The rest of it seemed fine and i'm not sure how much backstory was really necessary, but it was just too distracting from the main plot for me.

Shame as if it had hooked me a little i'd re sub to netflix, i've probably only got about a week left till it runs out now.

Not sure how you can come to that conclusion after half hour

Fair point, it's a presumed conclusion by me. The comments in the thread solidify my thinking on this. I've battled through series before, and just can't be bothered to do the same again on the premise others liked a series that i didn't. Some series i've given time and i have enjoyed them later on, but RE doesn't seem to get any better than what i saw sadly. I gave the CGI one a few episodes, but gave up.

If they'd gone for something of a similar style and quality to War of the Worlds they could've been onto a winner, but it was nowhere even close. Utter waste of an opportunity.

Would've been more successful if it was just a zombie/monster slasher series instead of trying to pin Resident Evil on it. Not that it would have been good even without the forced association, but it would have at least avoided alienating the fanbase.
