Resistance is Futile - AMD RX 9070 Borg Armada - OcUK Kings of Stock (1000's in stock)

The fact that thousands of people have just bought 9070XTs and 9070s will help ease the pressure on 5070/5070Ti demand too.

Indeed. As more 5070ti stock comes in over the next few months, Nvidia may find that a lot of gamers have already bought a 9070 XT and those that haven't continue to do so anyway.

It might well stop people scalping the 5070ti as well because a scalped 5070 ti for a grand or more looks silly next to a 9070 XT, even at £629.

The 9070 is in stock at most genuine places and not at outrageous/scalped to high heaven prices (but granted, still too high).

I never thought I'd see a day when the 4060 Ti would seem good value

B580 now starts at £290, 7700 XT at £377, 7800 XT at £450. The cheapest 4060 Ti is "only" £313.

All this launch has done is made me bitter towards a hobby.

I didn't need a GPU but I could justify a treat as my current card has served me well for over 4yrs.

The absolute farce and price scalping year on year is tiresome.

It's become too easy for chancers to set up a "shop" on Amazon or eBay etc.

Seems to be quite a few "private businesses" on these places with stock of ten or more of each model scalping the absolute hell out of them.

They've clearly set up bots to scoop up all the MSRP models from genuine retailers to try and fleece everyone for an extra £300 or £400 pounds.

Whilst the internet is good for some things, it's also added a whole heap of problems and negative things like this.

If overclockers had a counter I'd have gone there and bought directly. Since they no longer have that I went elseware.

Nuts to change from have a front end store where you could see monitors, test out keyboards etc.

Interestly now the indian meal place has a few chairs, keyboards, mice, displays on display...funny how high street store beats a dedicated pc place for having a demontration

This would disappear over night if people weren't so moronic paying well above MSRP.

You would think there would be things you could do to stop this. Introduce a captcha type thing to detect it’s a human at the point of sale.

@Gibbo Here is a PR opportunity for you. A YouTuber I follow, Daniel Owen, has a post showing your cube of Radeons from the first page of this thread, but attributed to a US competitor.

i am on a GTX 1080 and was a work cast off. still plays POE2 fine. 4060 might be worth a look till the 50 series refresh when "the Actual" 50 series is released. None of this 16gb 5080 malarkey
