Had to take my Cat to the vets today after a lump was found on his underside. They opened him up and found multiple Lymph Node Cancers in and around the Bowel area. Ended up Euthanising him while he was still under from the Operation.

Got the news just after 1pm and my eyes havn't dried since, close to choking at one point i was taking it so badly.

Its almost like he knew the end was coming as last night he seemed to take it in turn to sit on everyones knee. Which was something he normally wouldn't do as he was pretty anti social with everyone but me. He was my Cat from day one since i was the one who brought him home.

He spent a good deal of time with me last night, just wish today when we brought him to the Vets that i had taken him out of the Carrier to give him one last hug. He's the second longest pet ive owned, almost 11 years. I had a dog before that lasted 14 years, but this just seems to hit harder as our dog "Bingo" was a Family Pet whereas "Flossy" was my pet. Bingo went because of Cancer and now Flossy.

Can only hope now he's found some peace as he had to be in some Pain, and he had lost a lot of weight over the Months due to constant vomiting amd diahorrea. Though as selfish as it sounds id give anything for one more day with him. Tears have just started again as i type this.

Rest in Peace my wee man.

Sorry to hear that. :( He’s been spared a lot of pain and suffering and is now in cat heaven. The pain will ease, keep strong. :)

sorry to hear that mate always sad when you love someone you love doesn't matter if its a pet.

R.I.P Flossy. :(

I'm really sorry for your loss mate, I know how you must feel right now.

We took on an old cat who was 17 at the time because his original owner was emigrating abroad and we had him for a little over a year and he was always very fit for his age apart from his back legs which were a bit sensitive but this was expected because of his age but he was a lovely cat and was always nice to have him as some company and he had never had to go to the vets at all in all of his life (apart from the usual jabs & injections etc.)

Then about 3 months ago, he started to become very thin, became disoriented at times, and even had a couple of strokes (We got told this when we took him to the vet the first time and also got told that it would be likely that he would have more). After about a month of him having the second stroke he started to become very lathargic and we discovered a lump around his neck area - turned out that it was likely to be cancer :( Remarkably though, the lump disappeared after a week!

Things didn't stop there though - he became even more disoriented and after another trip to the vets, they diagnosed him with a cat form of dimentia and they also found that his kidneys were failing :( We took him home that night with the vets saying that their was nothing they could do and that he probably only had weeks left to live.

3 days later on one night we made the decision, and it was very tough but we thought it would be the best for him. The next day he just gave up completely and according to the vet, he died as the vet was about to put him down :( :(

Sorry that I have gone on a bit mate but I just wanted to say I know what you must be going through, I love cats and they definately become part of the family.

Yours looks absolutely adorable there! RIP! :( Liam
