There quite a bit of yellowing on the amiga 600 and snes (any one know how to clean that off if possible?)

i don't think it's possible to do anything about the yellowing as it's actually the plastic itself which has discoloured. ninetendo consoles are renowned for this

nice we collection you have going there and i wont mention the state of your carpet  :D

Was the game gear as powerful as the master system, or the mega drive?

I have some of the games you have, fly14i, on the master system, like super space invaders; and some of those games on the megadrive: Dynamite Headdy, Taz-mania, Cool Spot (awesome game  )

I had a Master System and my mate had a Game Gear graphics look the same on both formats. I'd say the Game Gear had abou the same power as a Master System.

Hmm i alwasy though the gamegear was 16bit like the megadrive a well learn things every day.

Any way just got a new toy to add to the collection a master system converter for the megadrive, came with shadow of beast, not bad for 4 quid :D

PS tar for not mentiong the carpet getting new one soon any way. :p

lol well it's portable compared to a .........cathederal ! :D

LMAO!

I can remember having a blast on a Game gear when they were first out and thinking ' Wow this is amazing - playing Sonic' And then the battery died. I was gutted lol.

yeah mate, thats why the game gear wasnt as popular as it should have been

the rechargable battery pack seen in my post above is pretty good though, get about 2 hours outta it before it needs recharged. the downside is that it's about the same size as the game gear lol and weighs as much as a house brick !

When I get home from work, im going to bring down from the attic my ZX Spectrum 128k and NES...been a while since I used them... on other notes..do you remember the loading screen for spectrum games??? Why the heck wasn't there a disclaimer for people with photosensitive epilepsy to look away when the screen is loading. These days, laws are so strict in governing any type of flashing images, loading or not loading.

the game gear wasnt really that heavy, it was just the 6 batteries or the battery pack that made it so, quality piece of kit and better than a PSP imo

arr tempted to buy a megadrive 2 and a mega cd, why do i need this, but it will be sooooo good

Hehe, thats like saying a car isnt as heavy without the engine in it :D

Fact is you need it to run so the car IS heavy.
