Not wanting to spend as much as the console cost on a component cable, are the 3rd party ones for PlayStation OK? A few people complain about purple fringing when using them?

Had Mario 3 in the cart slot and is still in pretty good condition. Just need to find the AC adapter and pads now and i'm set from some retro goodness :)

i remember my mum getting me this back in like 91/92 when it first came out, class game. Used to **** me off that you had to start from the beginning if you turned it off tho.

I got myself a PS2 today with 16 games, eyetoy and 2 controllers for £31.

I completely ignored the PS2 when it was current so can anyone suggest any PlayStation exclusives I should play?

Some good ones are (mix of everything):

Klonoa 2 (platformer)
R-Type final (shoot-em-up)
The red star (beat-em-up/shooter)
God of wars 1/2
silent hill 2
outrun 2006 coast to coast
psychonauts

all i can think of at the minute

Well success, after more hunting i found the control pad, psu and Snakes revenge cart. Had a composite lead and the picture is surprisingly not bad on my 37" samsung LCD.

I need one of those, how much did you pay if you don't mind me asking?

£26 quid off eBay, the he going rate from the people who make them and all the ones that go to auction go for up to 4 times that :( (especially the original ones)

Looks good thought, need to much about with my tv a bit to get it spot on but it made jet set playable instead of a big fuzz ball. You'll need to pick out the cables separately as well (thankfully I had a fresh VGA cable and a 3.5mm audio cable sitting about)

Place local to me has a Zelda game and watch I believe. Awesome store with a fair few Saturn/Genesis/Megadrive games, as well as consoles. Believe it has a Sephiroth model as well that looks like it's number 001.
