Retro console and games thread

A new additon to the family, been after one for ages. Local pick-up today from a shop which basically sells junk. All fully boxed with manuals etc all for £50:) a lot more cheaper than ebay.

Now I can play my games which are A1200 enhanced and Superfrog in its original form.

^^^ Nice find. My local game shop has now closed down, which is a real shame, not only because it was a great game shop and had good prices but it was one of the few independent stores left in Clevedon, the town centre is mostly cheap stores, charity shops and take aways now. The only silver lining is that now maybe the charity shops will get some games in as there is nowhere to trade them instead.

I popped to Insane Game Bridgewater this morning, really good range at the moment, they even have a GB Micro which you almost never see in store.

Is there any interest in starting something like a Google Docs as database for retro game shops, regular markets ect? Could be divided by area then town/city with contact details, webpage, Facebook page with a small comment on quality and prices.

Anyone ever play the Harry Potter RPGs on the GBC and Prisoner of Azkaban on GBA? They were so awesome. Still have Philosopher's Stone and Prisoner of Azkaban and been thinking of getting Chamber of Secrets for GBC :p.

Dreamcast is still my fave console of al time I reckon. ...so massively under rated and even Europe hsd s spectacular games catalogue without then adding the awesome range of jap games

Kinger: i did exactly the same, bought all the magazines including the official one with the VHS footage video lolol.....must have nearly worn that thing out.

GTO I think you can pick them up at sensible prices if you look hard enough, i found mine on a forum for £15inc from what i remember. if you want a full on switch box consolegoods.co.uk do a brilliant one for £40 otherwise eBay has some cables for £24 with a best offer option on them (just did a search for dreamcast VGA)
