I've been browsing through this thread over the past few days, and i got the sudden urge to set up my old Megadrive, MegaCd, 32X setup. Now bear in mind that this has been variously sat in lofts and garages for the past erm nearly twenty years, i was a little dubious as to whether it would work...so imagine my joy when i got this:

I am suprised and very pleased... so today will mostly be about playing old games, and getting out my Saturn, Dreamcast, PS1, Xbox and seeing if they still work...

I'm also on the lookout for a SNES, as i always wanted one but never got one :(.

I would love to get a MegaDrive combo like you have. I never had on growing up all my friends had them but between my brother and I it was NES and SNES land. After all the versions of Sonic I have owned on smartphones and other console I'd love to own the original at some stage.

£83!!! Vintage Amstrad CPC 6128 + Green Screen Monitor + Manual + Software, CV37 : The drive belt has been replaced and the disc drive works fine.

:D:D:D All of this time, I finally have the first computer in my hands from when I was a child

That looks awesome, I've never played on one of these.

Has a great sound chip, more memory than any of the other Amstrad's and you get can get RF/SCART cables + SD Card mods :)

Will probably look for an RF/SCART cable to keep the monitor in keep safe

I had the green screen CPC 464, I thought it was much better than the C64's my friends had. ;)

The original Dizzy on the Amstrad smacks any other version as it has in game music while you play, instead of bleeps and bops on the C64. I'm waiting till I next get payed as I'll buy the full scart and power supply kit to run into a tv - colour. I want to keep the Green screen monitor in storage and looked after and not risk extended over use

Megadrive II not working

Need some advice, I have a Megadrive II that only goes as far as the copyright sega screen, I think it's some sort of standard white boot text then it's black, no SEEEEEEEEGAAA nothing. There is also a flaky connection with the power supply socket or connection, if it's moved it shuts the sega off. I've taken the MII apart and don't see any problems inside or with the socket. Out of ideas

Try getting a new power cable mate, if it's not that maybe the cartridge connectors in the MD are knackered.

The monitor was so much bigger when I was about 5ish

, put a tape in and did the load "disc" and the disc loaded up straight away for an Amstrad anyway. Did try another disc with some writing on it and it just said could not find disc. Perhaps it was formatted or a non working floppy?

Very clean on the outside, bit dusty on the rear but at least it works

Is it just me that thinks the N64 was one of, if not the best looking console ever?

Love all the colours it was available in.

Yeah its was pretty cool too bad the video output sucked on it, no RGB to speak off and only the USA models are moddable for it. I guess its just as well PAL N64 YUK!

I have one of these in the loft with a sports bag full of games, are the monitors a bit fussy? Also have an old Vic20, Atari 520st or fm not sure and an Atari 2600 Woody with games and joysticks, wheel pads and pads similar to a master system pad.
